Well i never played a MGS game, plan on doing so with this one, might pickup earlier ones. Anyways, its a stealth action game, so you shouldnt be getting into to many fights where you gotta take on more then 1 enemy anyway. Plus lets be realistic here, your not gonna turn around right away if you see someone get shot beside you. Tenacious is also right, its not early, as it was added January 07, and they said it took 4 years to do this game, but it is however unifinished.

Guys I have some question. I never played metal gear but is this game all about stealth? Does each sequel share the same story? Should I play other metal gear games before I play this so I understand?

i read a review in a magazine the other day, they said it helps to have played the other games, but largely the game is it's own story. so as far as i know it's ok to start from there. i started with mgs3 and that was ok. and you get a fair bit of choice of how to play apparently, you can go rambo or stealthy for most of it.

I guess u can say its all about stealth cuz its a stealth action game. I do recommend you play all the previous games or watch some mgs timeline vids here on youtube. Im a HUGE fan my self and I think you just might get into games like mgs.

Tere is a Codec screen that is used sometimes, but a lot of it will be in cutscenes now too as Otacon can use the Metal gear MkII screen to talk to Snake.

if you watch the trailers,when snake enters the city with the malitia he has a machine gun but he loses it when attacked by those walking tanks.....so its safe to say he will be unarmed till the mk2 brings him the .45 and tranquilizer pistol.

Why the HELL are the animations still so stupid for MGS4? Kojima said he wanted to "westernize" the game, so why does Snake still walk like a retard? It pisses me off, because this is supposed to be a game that immerses its players in atmosphere, yet the animations of snake and the enemies are so rediculous it looks like MGS1 for PS1!!!! You keep telling yourself that the 360 will go on for ages... its a good job all game developers that have tried it have said they really like the Blu-Ray storage capacity. Dan Houser (co-founder of Rockstar, makers of GTA) has said the next GTA will probably be a PS3 exclusive as they cant go any further on a DVD disc than they did with GTA4... MGS4 is 50GBs big... MS cant compete.

And that isn't mentioning the Red Ring of Death and how Microsoft cant even make working operating systems now.

The PS3 is running, with only 0.02% fail rate AND it has the hardware that still isn;t being used, it wont be used until they unlock the full power with firmware updates when needed.

the objective of the previous games was to blend in with the enviroment, use camouflage, avoid combat and use if necessary CQC (close quarters combat) I LOOOOOOVE MGS :D

Actually, if you had seen all preview videos, you will notice that in one of them, that snake camouflage as one of the statues in the video, (actually i think they appear in the part 3 of this gameplay) he is wearing like a black mask, and he take it off, and show his face, and he looks like the snake of mgs3
