and it looks like the Hauppauge only does 1080i, so if you're looking to record true 1080p (PC Gameplay on another machine etc.) youre going to have to get Blackmagic Intensity. It does uncompressed 1080p

No it does not come with the xbox, if you do not have component cables for your xbox then he suggested the rocketfish ones from best buy because in general they are pretty cheap. If you xbox came with component cables, then USE THEM!
