  • This is a nice custom and I think its practice in most senegambian cultures. Its just fun!

  • c"est vraiment très bon de se rappeler yénn temps yi koi!!!!!!!!!!!!!nékhna, man safnama

  • does anybody know the meaning???

  • The custom in senegal wants that the cousins get married between them! but it's not an obligation. Thus when you do not marry you with your cousin he asks you of for it dedomager ( that is takou deneu); that has nothing of an obligation, it is just for laughing. And the singer says that it is delighted to see his cousins getting married but that somebody else took its place. Thus that we give him the takou deneu lool! and sorry i don't speak english very well :(

  • @stareva1 Hi, its not matter if your english is not good . The important thing is everybody can understand you. and in this way you help people who dont speak wolof to understand the song. I'm proud of you. peace :-))

  • @stareva1 Thanks for explanations. We are not able to guide customs. That's good that we can break free and laugh. Marrying cousins lead to degeneration . May be sometimes you can avoid this ? but statistic is on the other side...
