  • Mughals were great.

  • The black Taj Mahal is a myth (see BBC's Around the World in 80 Gardens, 2008).

  • Yeah, saw this report, too-I doubt its conjecture-and stick to the more believable theories. I doubt that the splendourous and glamourous Shah Jahan, who built mirracles like the Taj and additions to the Red Fort and many, many more would be satisfied with a little pond´s reflection.

  • Besides that, it must have been his plan to built the black version, but since all his construction already exhausted his empire and pushed it close to bankruptcy-his future plans were all foiled by his son, who put him into jail-so the story goes. BTW, since when is the water-reflection of a white building in the moonlight black?

  • Yeah! Very right. I too believe in the black Taj theory. There are many evidences in that regard. Was the river not sufficient for the emperor to catch the moonlight reflection of the Taj? He himself desired it to be built on the banks of the river so that he could see its reflection. Why would he need another puddle of water to see its reflection.

  • Excellent vidoe of the Taj Mahal, on of the best on YouTube. Keep up the good work.
