Prius owners will be laughing when gas hits $5 a gallon! You won't be laughing... In fact you will be paying out the ass since you will be using so much fuel to get around! To go 1,000+ miles in a Prius it only takes about 17 gallons!!! How far do you think a Maxima can go on 17 gallon? Less then 350 miles. When I see an F-150 I kinda smile and realize that with the fuel that thing sucks down in a week I could drive for more then a month. What does that thing have like a 22 gallon tank... lol

Oh by the way, over the last 6,000 miles, my wife's 2007 Prius has gotten 54.7 mpg. Basically, that means $23 to drive 500 miles. How much does it cost you to drive 500 miles?

what is it with prius drivers..?they are quickly becoming the biggest jerks on the road.just becuase you think that you are saving the world in that prius doesnt mean the rest of us are idiots.oh by the way your prius has unrecylceable leadacid batts and are made in one of the most eco unfriendly processes and materials that are mined in canada and shipped to Japan on a boat and then the car is shipped to the states on a another boat all the time running engines that burn basicaly raw oil.

i ve got a prius (in germany) and i think im the only one driving a hybrid. i dont think other drivers are bad. i dont think my car is cooler than any others. I just like it and especially the silence when driving around 50 km/h

I really don't know why people do this. They THINK they are racing me, but I don't even notice them. The only time I notice a Prius is when they are holding up traffic in the left lane. That happens A LOT around here. 90% of the time it is some idiot in a Prius.  You ARE NOT better than everyone else b/c you have done the politically correct thing...... so knock it off. Stick to the slow lane and continue playing with your MPG computer where you belong.

"B" stands for BRAKE, it slows u down, I'm told....

B is engine braking to prevent overheating the friction brakes when you are riding the brakes down a mountain pass and the traction battery is as full as the car will let it get (~82%) from regeneration which causes the car to use the standard friction brakes instead. It is similar to downshifting a regular automatic or manual trans car for the same reason (prevent overheated brakes)
