how many white people love this music are scared of black people, isnt it weird you always have to say "hello" in a weird way. its like they aproach you and you have to break the tension real quick, mean while they are just walking past with no intention of stopping and talking. i notice this sometimes and its always funny. this comment isnt racist its just real talk relax whitey they dont bite
For those of u who don't know. Dubs can be remixes/remakes of the original sound track. The original of this one in question was "Conversation" done by none other than the immortal Slim Smith.
yoooo hold upppp. ever heard the song "Acapulco Gold" by Sly and the Revolutionaries ? yes u have this is it.. i dont know about any conversation dubb this is straight up stolen and renamed not even mixed at allllllll..
nah it was ripped off from slim smith and the uniques- my conversation (hence the name conversation dub). bass and drum provided by sly and rob, it was a collaboration.
no man, dubversions are always reversions of original songs, but in another way. i believe this really is "conversation dub" because dub songs often have the word dub innit. the originalversion has got vocals innit i think.
@theoutlaw31 At first glance, you would think so. But King Tubby was the progenitor of Dub Reggae, and the two songs show differences if you really listen to them. Could be this is a remix of Acapulco Gold, or vice versa. To say it is stolen though, is laughable. Sly and Robbie came around after the King. I have this version credited as King Tubby's Conversation Dub on my Trojan Dub Box Set, disc 1. Trojan gets it right.
@theoutlaw31 This is a dub version of the Acapulco Gold song. If you were more familiar w/music in Jamaica then you would know its common practice, even now, for many different artists to use the same song. And to say this isn't a different mix is ignorant, the song is clearly changed from the original.
Your statements show a lack of knowledge of dub music, and you should have done a lil research before posting.
Look up "Sleng teng", there are dozens of different versions of that song.
i think this is a sub dub of "mr brown" gregory isaacs , i have the tune for 23 years now ' cars have changed but never the music that blasts from them, bless !!
It's skippy
