@TheM9Beretta When Iron Sheikh knew him in the mid to late 80s, Andre was in a state of constant pain (acromegaly caused his gigantism and it's not a comfortable condition later in life), and that made him a little irritable.

Even when filming the Princess Bride, Andre was in such pain that he could not actually lift Cary Elwes on his back. While on Andre's back, Elwes is standing on a series of ramps behind them to relieve pressure on Andre's back.

It really is terrible that science to halt acromegaly came too late. I would have loved to have met Andre.

It may sound crazy but actually, Andre had the possibility to be cured, but he refused it.

Plus the directors said that that was his first time acting, but is not true, he acted as a Bionic grizzly, in the 6 Million dollars man series, and even before he went in usa, in a .... Karate movie!!

Refused-wow! That I did not know. As far as this being his first movie. Your right, he did the 6 million dollar man, some american superhero show, some hippie movie and the karate movie, which by the way was incredible. I would never expect Andre to play in a movie like that. He was real big back then, but also really skinny for his size.
