  • @beachhutblues

    No thanks, I won't.

My dogs would, however - but hopefully your shit isn't contaminated with drugs and alcohol - dogs can get seriously ill from that.

Can we please agree to disagree, and leave eachother alone now?

  • @beachhutblues

Easy, easy now child, mummy's going to make you an nice cup of warm cocoa before you go to bed, and tomorrow will be a new day.

  • @beachhutblues

Oh dear, I didn't realize you suffer from a swearing disorder - please pretend I never wrote!

Best wishes for your mental health, though.

  • @beachhutblues

If you take your time to look up who has been knighted, let's say from the beginning of the past century - you might not wish that for him.

And he might not accept one if offered - what with class...

    :)

  • hes just like mark knopfler, guitars and him r a perfect match )

  • Its very good !

  • 2:58 jizz in his mouth :D

  • Clapton is god

  • I've been listening to this all day long! Thanks, God! ♥

  • Clapton is god. I have had to pause the Zeps, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Whitesnake to listen to him, and I don't regret that.

  • @SlowhandSolos

Clapton is a brilliant song writer and guitarist -

    and a wife-slapper off stage.

There are no gods except the ones we wish to create.

  • @cocochanelleke Yeah I know. Just, like every other absent-minded guy out there, I needed someone 'to calm me when I feel down' or 'to be my leader'.

  • @SlowhandSolos

Thanks for your reply Slowhand, much appreciated.

And I really like your YT-picture - the dog lifting his leg .. at you know what!

Had I seen that before commenting, I would have not commented!

Keep well & greets from the NL

    ;)

  • @cocochanelleke Thanks. In my opinion, Clapton is the best (having just recieved the Behind the Sun album, with the greatest solo ever at the end of Just Like A Prisoner), but there are others, and Clapton is better than any god in many ways (one way is that he exists).

  • @SlowhandSolos

    P.S.

    and absent father, too.

  • The backing vocals of the band, great!

    He's great!

  • My DAD, died when I was sixteen. Wish I could remember anything at all.

  • like this if you too have the greatest dad in the world :)

  • this song always brings me to tears.i miss my dad!

  • Awsome song by the sir ericl clapton the great! anyone know what the name of this dvd is called ?

  • @GodsRodoG92 It's from one more car one more rider

  • The reggae touch is very nice indeed.

  • Great :)

  • i used to look into my fathers eyes and wonder what he was thinking , now my son looks into my eyes and wonder what i am thinking, some day his son will look into his eyes and wonder what he is thinking , the wonder never ends

  • @jamesrransom1 the universe isn't going to collapse on itself any time soon, the wonder will continue ;)

  • @jamesrransom1 it's a fact that we men don't express that much, you should be telling him though some times ;)

  • @jamesrransom1 The Father that Clapton speaks about in the lyrics of My Father's Eyes is not his earthly father, but the Father which is in Heaven. This is a song about a soul which aspires to see with the vision of God - The Father.

  • @jleite57 He wrote this song when he found out more about his actual father. He didn't have all the details yet - 'father' here is not a metaphor, but it possesses a literal meaning.

  • @RawjerLee It may be, but in some lyrics as in poetry or scripture there is a literal meaning to the words and an hiden meaning. Most people are satisfied with a literal interpretation, others go beyound the literal meaning of the words.

    Sailing down behind the sun,

Waiting for my prince to come.

    Praying for the healing rain

    To restore my soul again.

Who is this prince that will come to restore his soul again?

  • Nice guitar playing, good song, music and constant reminder of how bad is today's music.

  • thank you no one ever belive me when I say it.

  • @aelkassih Fuck our lives! The '70s were the shit

  • @NunexxShadowZ Yes. The 70s were the shit. This song was released in 1998 though,

  • @aelkassih nice? good? THIS IS FUCKING AWESOME

  • @aelkassih Most music juxtaposed with clapton's sucks. You can arbitrarily compare any two songs of varying quality with no regard to era and get the same result. Music is different, and while typically I'd agree with you, making a blanket statement about ALL of today's music is just as ignorant as saying "classic rock sucks"

  • Having just lost my father a little more than a month ago, what was once a good song has taken on a much deeper meaning for me.

  • This last Father’s Day was a bit sad for me ‘cos my Dad’s not speaking to me at the moment.

The trouble is that I was living with a 39YO woman who he really liked & thought was perfect for me (I’m 42). However, we split up last year & then I started dating her 19YO daughter. She’s a beautiful girl & we always got on really well, so I naturally I leapt at the chance as soon as I was free & single!

It’s a pity he’s taken this line, but frankly I could do without his moralising lectures.

  • @SuperTruth77 You just need to have an heart to heart talk with your dad.

  • Those high notes on the outro guitar solo! NOW THAT'S HOW YOU MAKE A GUITAR CRY! PURE EMOTION!

  • I wish that I'm closer with my parents.... We are so cold... One day we will not be togehter anymore , and I will want to bring back time :'(( .... I know there is 'mistake' in our relation at home, because we never talk like 'friends' , we are sooooo cold, but....we can not fix it :(

  • @SuperOdbojkasica People can change, it's just a matter of are they willing to change. Do they have a good enough reason to change? I never had a great relationship with my father. He died before we could reconcile. I have to admit though, I don't think I wanted a relationship with my father. Reason being is he has done selfish things in his life at the expense of his children and wife. That's a very hard thing to forgive. Plus, he never admited he was wrong, which made it even worse.

  • @ooJUKEBOXHEROoo In some part you are right ... But....no matter how much my parents were bad with me, I love them , naturaly . I tryed couple times to be better person, but...it just doesn't work ... There is not just a problem in me, in them too, but they don't want to change it. And , as I said, we are too cold to talk about our relation... This life is too short, and most of people doesn't spend it on right way :/

  • @SuperOdbojkasica Have you considered going to therapy? Or you and your family going to therapy about it?

  • @ooJUKEBOXHEROoo well.... Land where I came from ....it's a... dod you ever heard about Serbia and Montengro ... ? This is ...how I can explain... small country where such a thing is a big shame. When someone goes to psihiatry or stg like that, people immediately say - ouu he is crazy etc ! This a small town, and people doens't have what to do, so they talking about other people's life :)... So that possibility is almost impossible :| . I wish to go there, but here that is not 'popular' ....

  • @SuperOdbojkasica All I can say is, if you want a better relationship with your parents, try to talk to them about it. I mean someone has to make the move for change. Just make sure you're not doing something wrong that would make them not want to have a better relationship, first. Good luck.

  • @ooJUKEBOXHEROoo I wrote up just which is the problem, we are so closed and cold to talk about it. So .... I think we could not fix our relations... So, because of that I'm sad :/ Thanks.

  • @SuperOdbojkasica Last week I was at my dad's bed side, by the look of him, very sure he was going to die; I regretted so much why I didn't cuddle him more, why I didn't tell him more that I loved him, even though I've been doing it all the time.. I hated my self for saying negative things in past which he certainly deserved. Thanks God, he recovered. Do not miss the opportunity before being too late. tell him you love him. If you cannot tell him write to him. Good luck.

  • @TheCilginbalik Yes, that's the thing I was talking about ! You understood me.... I don't want that one day it's too late to say some things and that I can regret .... I was trying in the past to correct some things, but I couldn't .....I will try it again . :/ Tnx man .

  • Wow

  • @adriancabrales12:The drummer is Steve Gadd

  • I believe it's Steve Gatt!

  • my old man used to play this tune in the car when it first came out when I was maybe 10 and I hated it lol. I was really into Slowhand and early Cream at the time but now this is in my top 5. Thanks pops

  • the drummer guy is a fuckin crack!!!

  • I have this video and, once again, Eric is as great as ever. I'm so glad that he invited Billy Preston, in his waning days, to tour with him. Nobody but Billy could hold his own with a talent like Eric. Billy's chops and fills add just the right flavor to this tune.

Rest easy, Billy. You are missed and not forgotten.

  • god one more pair of pants i have to throw away, some of the most soul ive ever heard period.

  • @TimAven33 hahaha soiled them eh...dont be ashamed,i did too! :-)

  • This is the best song ever and you're an idiot if you don't like it...

  • I love this song so much

  • Is there a DVD of this wonderful concert?

  • @jack89bz

Yep! It is called "One More Car, One More Rider" from 2001.

  • Amazing how he can always translate difficult personal situations into music, and with a brilliant crew, too.

    Thanks again for posting.

  • Epic Clapton!

  • I think this is the high point of Clapton's illustrious career. I had listened to this many times and marvelled at the particular soulfulness he brings to this performance until the lyrics finally hit me over the head. It's Clapton's own composition. Remember...he never met his father. Figure it out. BTW, this band is smoking.

  • anybody who dont like eric clapton can go fuck there selfs.

  • @goofybastard89

Oh dear, there we go again - what with YOU ARE WITH ME OR AGAINST ME.

    Pity.

  • You can feel Clapton's music, just as much as you can hear it.

  • :) J'ADORE

  • i know them all ,but no 1 can hold a note like EC .X 2 U ALL

  • Clapton's thoughts after the song. " Well that was a fun little solo, I think I'll take a drink" lol

  • This man is a Music God.

  • Clapton is the guitar soul !!!!!! rsrs

  • Brilliant! Much better than the horrid studio version.

  • Eric&Andy are the great guitarists

  • the closing solo makes me cry everytime i listen to.... damn, he's absolutely God!

  • “Music is God's gift to man, the only art of Heaven given to earth, the only art of earth we take to Heaven.” And Mr. Clapton is God, Heaven and Music!

  • Fingerbanging that guitar all the way

  • I've followed Clapton's career for over 30 years, have seen him in concert many times, and have heard countless mind-blowing guitar solos from him. But the closing solo on this song is the most beautifully constructed, melodic, and heartfelt that I've ever heard him perform.

  • I didn't know George Clooney played the drums.

  • DONDE SE REALIZÓ ESTE RECITAL¿¿¿

  • @juliokazer00 Texas...

    2001

  • it must be the 10th time i watch this video. Here i am getting emotioned

  • I missing my dad every day :)

  • absolute legend !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • saddest upbeat song I've ever heard... miss you dad so much!!! time doesn't heal anything, you just somehow make peace and learn to live with the pain of your loss....

  • @barevhayer 100%....it's been nearly 14 years and I am just starting to be able to do this, I miss him so much everyday. It still makes me sad, but I can finally think about him and think more of the happy times together instead of it just making me sad. (miss you)

  • Thanks Eric. Your music makes this old man happy.

  • awe music too!

  • amazing music!!!

  • THE THING IS THE CLAPTONS ARE NEVER GOING TO REAPPEAR, I LOOK AT TODAY'S ARTISTS & WONDER WHO IS GOING TO BE AROUND WHEN CLAPTON ISN'T, NOT HOLDING MY BREATH

  • If you ever need an example of the brilliance and beauty that can come from a person's heart, just watch this video. Eric Clapton is simply one of the most extraordinary artists of our time. Sometimes I think he was born with that guitar in hand. Thank you, Mr. Clapton, for all the musical treasures!

  • i think of my dad when i look in my son's eyes am here in Canada and my dad is in Africa but when i look in my son's eyes i see my dad its just so eerie

  • vorbeste cu ea bai frate....

  • My Dad- been gone 24 years- still miss him, yet I know he is still looking out for me. Love you pops!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thought this song was "nice" for sure, I have this DVD and this version truly spells out that this is an all time classic, and very powerful.....not a "sappy" tune by any stretch. Great arrangement....great musicians. Eric rips this on guitar...A nice surprise when seeing it the first time.

  • @k2ombs what is the name of the DVD i would love to own it

  • @smd04 One more car, one more rider...A great DVD thoroughly....

  • My Father's Eyes, has got to be the most beautiful song I ever heard. My father died in December 2010, and now, he's with me and around me all the time!

  • Cool :)

  • He wrote this song, after his son died right?

  • his father's eyes are crying on the guitar.

  • Damn this is so beautiful. Clapton's the ma
