@MsNoNuts Yea dude..... As far as I know theres only two hiphop dances - Bboyin was the first and "party style" hiphop / new style. Alot of people but all street dances under "hiphop" either to get more youtube hits, to make money or because they don't take the time to find out about there own friggin dance haha.

@19daze98 Actually if you really look in to Funkstyle dance. Locking isn't one. It used to be years ago when Poppin pete came up with it and Don Campbell agreed to call locking a funk style. However later on he told Pete that he didn't want it to be called Funkstyle.

It was a bloody locking routine! 2) The move that you're calling a lock is a damn "wrist roll" or "twirl" and when you say "drop" it's actually the lock! 3) Instead of showing a routine, teach some moves people can use to freestyle! 4) And before trying to teach anything, do your bloody research and learn proper terminology!

There is no popping whatsoever in this video. Popping requires one to quickly contract their muscles.

The dance he is trying to imitate is locking. However, the moves are not done correctly. I am going to take a wild guess and say he probably never learnt authentic locking in his entire life.

Please search for "the lockers" on youtube and find the videos of the original lockers from back in the 70s to see how it should look like.
