okay the most basic thing i liked about Yu-Gi-Oh was the comedic value.. Yugi was innocent.. Joey was !!! HILLARIOUS !!!.. Kaiba was an asshole in a good way.. Jaden was a copy of Joey, but with more fighting spirit (if its possible)..the other characters were symvolic with the original, but with 5D's you get jack shit..you start knowing nothing about the characters and a dude that uses children trading cards to prevent going to jail btw - yusei?? they should have improved the names to more ENG!

Hm, GX beats 5Ds and the original series any day. I'm lost here. And I've only watched 2 episodes of YuGiOh and I'm bored of it. GX I was glued to for days, and from Episode 1 too. Pretty disappointed that they're not dubbing Season 4 of GX until they've finished with this crap.

I need help.........so basically you dont need polymerization to summon a syncro, and does the level of the monsters used to summon a syncro have to be equal to the syncro itself right ?.........if it is, then this is like summoning ritual monsters without the magic card.

@64522744 basically yes. a tuner monster is kind of like the polymerization and ritual card for a syncro monster, however unlike fusion and ritual monsters, all monsters have to be on the field, you cannot syncro summon from your hand like fusion monsters.

Some syncro monster however are more specific, like they need a certain tuner or a monster that have to be Dark

Example:

1 lv 3 tuner + 1 lv 2 non-tuner = 1 lv 5 syncro monster

I hadn't orignally liked the idea of Yu-Gi-Oh on motercycles, but this isn't too bad. I do like how they explain what cards do and the animation is pretty good. I just hope the way they dual doesn't get boring fast. I usually skip the dual scenes. They get boring time after time. ^_^"

I'm not putting down the duels at all, since I do play the YGO card game. And to be clear, I ment that I skipped the duels in the previous shows. I finished YGO 5Ds season one and I actually enjoyed their duels.

While I do find the motorcycle adaptation a bit random and confusing, I think that this series has pretty good writing and characters compared to GX. As long as the series doesn't go downhill as it progresses, I think it's worth a watch. :)

Autopilot engaged? WTF? What's the point of auto-pilot then? If you let a computer drive so you can duel, then obviously driving is an inconvenience to the dueling, which begs the question: Why have the bikes in the first place? Having to engage an autopilot feature makes the whole thing completely unnecessary.

A totalitarian state to keep the poor fenced in and protect the rich and wealthy is a fine plot for a 1984-esque story but Yugioh!? And they have to ride motorcycles when they play the card game? I was hoping to see that 5d would live up to Yu-Gi-Oh! and GX their good reputations, but I was wrong. The story makes no sence, duel was boring and that stupid voice keeps on yapping on.

Yusai is lame and his "Synchro's" are Over Powered. I call this a total waste of my time. Once and never again. Now excuse me, I'm going to watch the good old fasion Yu-Gi-Oh! and maybe GX.
