  • Shoot, he sounds real good. I wonder where he's from.

  • What!!! They were white! Blue eyed soul in overdrive blowing my mind!!!

  • <<<<<been fooled all these years too!

  • They laid the foundation for groups like KC & The Sunshine Band to come along later.

  • With those pants, he better hope he doesn't see any pretty ones!

  • I NEVER knew they were white..I was even shocked last week to find out the "Newbeats" who sing that oldie "I like bread and butter" were also white..

  • This singer was white?? I'm in a state of disbelief.

  • @quirpco LOL...ME TOO.

  • I have a feeling that they did not know they had a soul song

  • Wow I am black and always thought the group that made this was black...soulful

  • A lip sync! And they tried to fool us with the coily white cords to the guitars that go no where! OH, I remember them! (Guitar player here from the 60's). Fender Jaguar there and a right-hand Paul McCartney bass (yeah, I know, its a Hoffner or something like that).

  • This song is not about a child molester dumb azz it is about a young man coming of age and liking girls his own age. How you get molestation out of the lyrics of this song is beyond me.

  • Why peeps calling the song down and saying negative things about it.I remember listening to this when I was a kid.I liked it then and now.Girl watcher doesnt exactly mean lil girls it could mean any age.I dont know where all the negative minds are thinking?Besides whats wrong with watching girls?Would you rather have the guy singing hes a boy watcher?LOL

  • Wow! Get a load of them lamb chop sideburns!... And to think I used to sport a set myself back in the day........."Jagar"

  • Looks like a young Steve Martin.

  • scarey bunch of dudes, reunion gigs this is not on the playlist..lol..

  • @Terry3634 you know thats where they got the style from.like all the rest of them.

  • I thought the guy was black I thought the guy that sings poke salad was too.

  • @bucvet1979 yep me too.. Tony Joe White sang that song.

  • At least one member was originally in the LTDs. Maclelsfield, NC. I must be getting senile as I remembered the sax player's name as Jim Hinnant. Oh well. Recorded at Roy Mathew's Pitt Sound, Greenville NC? Reason I ask is I heard a reel of this there as a kid.

  • Wow...

The singer looks like a very-young STEVE MARTIN (The Comedian).

  • Donne had a Number one record on a station called "Just Gotta Talk", on a Urban station in Raleigh, They quit playing it when they found out he was white....

  • I thought they were white !!
