while 2gb of ram isnt quite enough, its probably not the main factor. If youre using the video card that came with your computer, its probably horrible. Get a decent video card (at least a 9800GT) 4GB of ram, and a quad core, or at least a fast dual, if you wanna play this game smoothly.
you have 32 bit OS and you installed 4GB RAM? WTF? youve wasted your money dude, if you have 32 bi OS, your PC can use only 3gb ram and if you have 64bit OS it can use about 4gb or higher!
You don't have a low end pc... If u had had windows XP u would have gotten much less lag. Trust me. Vista demands 50% More RAM than XP. Just look on the abck of the game's cover.

um are you a troll? This is most definitely the PC version, I was using a logitech controller to control it (had to d/l a mod)

@oddha This PC version IS a driect port from the console, the thing in the corner means nothing because you are easily able to use a wired 360 controller on the PC and configure the buttons and the game recognises this. BTW I can tell it's PC version due to that fact that I have VERY similar specs with the exception that I have a 3GHz cpu and not a Dell computer and mine plays exactly the same with small, if any, bits of lag. Chill and stop being a dick.
@attomal xbox graphics are even worse than these graphics. I bought the game for xbox 360 expecting them to be amazing but they are horrid and jaggedy and just as poorly detailed as on the PC.

yes it is lagging because I have a poor PC which lagged when using fraps. The actual game does not lag anywhere near as much, although the FPS is rather low (around 15 i think)

of course you can. It may not utlize all 4 cores because the game isn't designed to use all for course, but it will most def run great on a quad core. it will just run it like a dual core, because that's all this game can take advantage of.
that is by no means a low end laptop, a low end laptop would be 1.8 ghz, 2gb ram, integrated standard gpu chipset, or anything lower, and the only people with something like that or lower would have to have a 512 graphics card or way better, this guys laptop is high end, "before just Super capable," if you have a 2.0 ghz laptop, with 4gb ram, and 512 card, you could have a chance with this game on specific settings

well not exactly, but if you were to buy a new PC now it would be considered bottom end. As they hardly ever sell single core now, and are selling less and less core duo over quad cores.

Hey i just wanted to know if i would be able to run gta 4 on my ATI radeon Hd 2400 XT with 512Mb
and the Cpu is 3Ghz, RAM is 2gb. I am also running windows xp sp3

well not exactly, but if you were to buy a new PC now it would be considered bottom end. As they hardly ever sell single core now, and are selling less and less core duo over quad cores.
Also its more like 3GB of ram, as vista 32-bit doesn't recognize the full 4GB.
