I would say you are naive. Why? Because we know there are lines of Torah scrolls that can be traced back to Sinai, and they are exactly the same, except for the Yemenite Torah which has about a dozen different letters. The Dead Sea Scrolls authenticate the originals for most of the Bible. There ARE differences in translation as with any document. Hebrew is made up of "sememes" rather than phonemes. Wow, this was very informative! not.

As a matter of fact, there is a lot of evidence of the book of mormon. There is increasing support and evidence of it. If it were false, people would be finding less and less proof. It is gaining more and more archaeological support daily as people research. A false document would not get more evidence for it's authenticity, but more evidence againt it as time went on.

I think at least there is *some* evidence for the Bible, historically and archaeologically, even though many claim this is lacking in certain areas. There is none, though, for the Book of Mormon. I think there is enough evidence, however, of God working today. Ask me if you're interested.

1. Doesn't really apply to the above. Other than they agree about what I say about the bible i.e. it's untrue that there is any archaeological proof that these christians say. There was a little feel in the video like bring down the bible a peg or two and raise the book of mormon up a peg or two which is understandable. But I stick with my statement no scientific proof for either book.

2. Nahom as said in the video - could have been seen on a map it may have. If it wasn't then the odds would be small that he made it up - but then you have to look at all the other claims the book of mormon makes and the odds of all the others being backed up also are far smaller than the nahom one! Land at Jerusalem is a good explanation but again isn't scientific proof.

To say all evidence points one way or the other is naive and argumentative. It's interesting to see what current latter-day scholars have to say about the geography - but you can't help thinking that the prophets and the general membership can't try and fit the locale of the events there. Especially when Joseph and other general authorities have made statements or even found the bodies (ok body) of a prophet 1000s of miles away - Zenith or Zelph or something like that - memory escapes me. Still no scientific proof just guesses, hypothesises and confusion.
