Ann Richards on the rise of the Republican Party in Texas

Texas has never had a Governor as brilliant, competent, caring,dedicated, or honorable before or since Ann Richards. May she rest in peace and may Texas forever honor her memory

I respected Ann RIchards. As a communications major in college and a current communication she was an entertaining speaker with a lot of wit and charisma. She could captivate an audience. I never voted for her - as I am one of the conservative (native) Texans she mentioned. I disagreed with her politically probably 90% of the time. However she was not a bad governor and a respected Texan. May she rest in peace. To my fellow Republicans - please respect the deceased.

Gov. Richards is somewhat right. My dad was a born and bred Democrat, but when the Reagan revolution started, and after Carter was a total disaster, he became a Republican. But mainly because most Democrats started to embrace the Godless, anti-Christian positions they take and the Republicans have embraced Religious people like most Texans are today.
