This was actually based on a TV series that lasted 9 years in the early days of TV. Back then there were actually hillbillies all over the place, not just in the hills, sort of like there are mexicans all over the place now, not just in mexico. But I don't think there were many hillbillies when this film was made so this was more of a spoof of the original series. Only one I know of in the entire film is the Man-whore guy. Though someone told me that Jed was the voice of Slinky in Toy Story.

Wowsers! Quickly image searched her and she has at least very black Eyebrows for a blonde! They look bushedcin the film, but no doubt a play on the character AND her at the same time. I did see a search pic with well plucked brows though. Photoshopped or madeup it looked better. Does Ellie Mae have busshy brows in the original show?
