There is a youthful photo of DAVID THE GLADIATOR as well as two photos of him from the film DON''T MAKE WAVES in the book AMERICAN HUNKS; THE MUSCULAR MALE BODY IN POPULAR CULTURE 1860-1970.. This proves his HUGE importance in American bodybuilding history.
@TheDuke1011 : Those cheesy comedies had something called a 'laugh track' in the background. Listen to it carefully. That tells you when you are supposed to laugh.
Dave was very popular in Hollywood, in the late 60's. He appeared on The Monkees, The Beverly Hillbillies, and in the movie, Don't Make Waves. With his impressive build, blond hair and blue eyes, he had the "California beach boy" look. After his bodybuilding career ebbed, he went through some tough times. However, he has rebounded splendidly, and now manages the World Gym in Santa Cruz, CA.
this incredible iron man is a huge icon in the book AMERICAN HUNKS; THE MUSCULAR MALE BODY IN POPULAR CULTURE 1860-1970 by David L Chapman and Brett Josef Grubisic
If you want real g@y suckmadic1, check out AMERICAN HUNKS; THE MUSCULAR MALE BODY IN POPULAR CULTURE 1860-1970 in which Dave Draper is perhaps the most important iconic figure from the 1960's

Dave Draper has written an autobiography in which he deals with all his television and film and advertising work.....a must read for all his fans to order from his website
Are you talking about Brother Iron Sister Steele? Because I want to read a book on how he trained, but a review on amazon said that the book isn't good for training advice because it is mostly an auto biography.
by now i hope you have enjoyed paging through dave draper's autobiography -- THE FIRST HALF of which is his training methods and the second half his life in bodybuilding
all of you check out dave draper's website to order a copy of his book where he writes about his television and film work....I think he got shafted by arnold schwarzenegger who seems to have gotten the roles dave draper could have done.
if people agree that Dave Draper is the ideal man then people have got to bring the judges to task for choosing the Mr. Olympia winners that they have. chosen ....Dave Draper lost to Arnold Schwarzenegger of course
@304fannin ... ain't that the truth.. the physique guys from the late 50's and early 60's was how it should've stayed.. I mean i'm all for progress, but your correct when you said it's gotten way out of control.. nowadays, drugs have turned these guys to all look alike.. damn shame.. all Gh monsters & lies.. it truly is sad the direction bodybuilding has turned..
As I i look at mr. draper's photos from his feenage years, he no doubt got more and more handsome as he aged and developed like serge nubret the best physique that didn't win the olympia. It is so horrific that he almost died from drug overdose when he looked so outwardly perfect. a loss for the film industry.
IS this the end of the scene? Do they do any thing else with Dave?

@schmui Things about steroids:
1.Everyone uses steroids.
2.Everyone knows they use steroids.
3.You still have to workout.
4.Cigarettes,alcohol,etc. are worse.
5.Steroids are in meat.
6.I have reached my peak
7.Steroids only help .00001%
