Stun Gun is super underrated im a big fan of his judo

I love Stun Gun.

He's an absolute beast of a little Korean dude.

He might not be very flashy, but damnit, the kid has moxy! That, and some serious grappling ability. If he finds a strong formula, he'll be successful. If he goes the Sexyama route and thinks he's going to forgo using his skills in favor of slugging it out with these meatheads, he'll be back in Japan before you know it.

Thusfar, I like what he's been able to do. He's shown a good ability to control fights.

I don't know. I thought Dan Hardy was gonna win because Dan has more experience, but Kim has got some pretty sick takedowns and some good punches. Dan said that he won't be knocked over, but Kim seems pretty aggressive with the takedowns. If Kim gets Hardy to the floor, Kim will win easy. If Hardy can keep his feet , I think it will be slightly to his edge. Kim seems to be able to do some standing strikes, but he loves the ground with judo. It will be a close and interesting fight.

Kim is really good. He is definately grown on me when I first seen him drop elbows on that guy during his UFC debut.

When I said muscle I don't mean guys who are small and stock with short arms and legs. Building muscle will do nothing to hurt his reach and leverage. At most, it'll hurt his flexibility if he doesn't stretch regularly. Building muscle will make him stronger so he'll be able to everything harder and faster. :D

@NYJ1337 True. I don't know how much weight he cuts, but at above 6 feet 170 lbs, he must have to cut at least 10 lbs of water already. If he bulks up any more, the cut will be that much harder. If he bulks up too much, he'll have to move up to middleweight, which imho is not a good move for him. We'll see. I'm just hoping to see him back and action and hoping he gets back on his feet after this latest injury without too many problems.

The moment Stun Gun learns to pace himself properly he'll be unstoppable, he tends to go all out in the first round, if you're still going after that, he uses the second to recover, and turns it on again in the third. and That's fine against the Jason Tan's of the world, but it's the reason he split with guys like Matt Brown and Karo. Yes, also he was robbed in that one.

Obviously illegal pain killers, you can show your prescription and they aren't allowed to overturn the fight, but he had to have been taking something not prescribed to him or had to have forgotten to provide it (which is totally his fault again). He claimed the painkillers he tested positive for were for his back, which means he went into a fight with a messed up leg and back.

They weren't illegal. It doesn't matter if they were prescribed. The athletic commission does not allow it, so even if you are prescribed them, you can't have it in your system.  He's been taking them for 3 years. I doubt it was for an injury and more because he is addicted to it. Karo getting suspended and outed for his drug use was the best thing to happen to him, if he got the help he needed.

The Karo fight was very close, but since he dominated round 1 I might have given it to him. Karo won round 2 but he wasn't as dominant as Kim in the previous round, and neither of them looked good in the third round. Of course this is why the 10-9 system is stupid, but I digress.

Give the man another year and he'll be a serious force IMO, assuming he keeps training at Wajyutsu or another camp of the same similar caliber.
