Anyone remember back in 98 when you bought PSX in Europe they added this demo disc (which I still have!) with Wipeout2097 demo. You could only play Gare d'Europa and this was the only track you could listen to. But when the game loaded, you could just pause it, take out the demo CD, put in a music CD and switch up the music!

This is the best tune on the game, but the full game being even better as it would play every single track if you put it in a CD player. Even to this day I still sometimes find myself putting Wipeout 2097 in the CD player as well as the Playstation.

@Shemassault I remember soooo well, I had a 1997 psx with the mitic DEMO ONE disc!! ^_^ With also Tekken 2 demo and also Die Hard Trilogy at Dullas Airport! Ohhhhh, your post brought me back to the middle school! Anyway, if you still have some psx games, you can put the cd in a cd player, and skipping the 1st track (that is the game) you can hear the soundtrack! ;)

Playing 2097 as a kid, this music pumping.. it was so cool. Amazing lighting (at the time), rain thumping down.. and shit, that checkpoint timer noise used to scare the shit out me.

best thing about the PS1 when it first came out was it came out with Wipeout and that made the PS1 the most awesome videogame machine on the planet, EVER.
