  • Great band! The Sandbar, Stardust, Univ of MD Ballroom, the Bayou. Great times!

  • Awesome! I was stationed at Aberdeen Proving Ground 77-80 and I remember going to see Facedancer at Junior's Inn just up the road! Those were some great times! Thanks for posting!!!

  • @korney69 I was born at Aberdeen Proving Ground and I used to see them there to! Underage and with a fake ID of course,,,lol! The things you could get away with back then! You know Carey Kress the lead singer ( although not on this album ) passed away in '09?

  • this song popped in my mind, so i looked for it. i was also at the stardust inn.

  • circa 1980 the band playing the night I met my hubs, 31 years ago, southern md, Stardust Inn, that place rocked!

  • What the REAL shame about Face Dancer was they couldn't hold the original line up together for just their second album, and then of course the only thing getting any airplay at the time was disco.. sad innit?

  • Me and my then-boyfriend used to makeout to this.

  • To quote Will Munny, "deserve's got nothing to do with it." Enormously deserving bands have been denied commercial success and fame while enormously undeserving bands have reaped ill-gotten wealth and notoriety ever since there's been commercial music - oh, for the last seven hundred years or so. Does it suck? Sure does, but there's nothing new about it.

  • @chuckschilling Well said bro and sooo true!

  • I got married in 1984. Forever Beach and Red Shoes were among the songs played by the DJ at my reception.

  • This song transports me back to the summer of 1980. That was an awesome summer because I finally got my first real girlfriend !!!!

  • I first saw this band in a College Park, Maryland parking lot when I was attending the University of Maryland. The next thing I never heard from them again. Sinbadthekat, yes, defintely bad marketing. They iused to open for great groups such as Foreigner and Robert Palmer. I think the idiots were controlling their creativity. Most defintely could have been a major force in music. I'm still looking for their 'About Face' LP in CD format. I just bought their 'This World' in cd format.

  • Another "Could Of, Should Of Been" band.

This band deserved national recognigtion. Bad Marketing?

  • This song should have been number 1 nationwide, how the hell it didn't happen is beyond explaining.

  • Carey once said that Scotty "Should have been the next Paul McCartney". This song proves it. I love you, big brother.

  • So true

  • I have been looking for this song forever!

Thanks for posting it. Those MD memories are never forgotten!

  • This song is a true Baltimore classic. The Orioles, the bay, times in highschool and Facedancer. If I could only go back to that time once more. Great song, great band and a great place to be raised.

  • I'd think that I was 21 again, but I can't remember all of the lyrics anymore.....thank you for taking me home,. This is so Maryland. I love it!

  • omg i think im 21 again

  • thanks for posting this. That album cover brings back memories of OC MD big time
