I'm SOOOO happy that I came across this performance on TV the other night! I had never heard of this group and I went straight to iTunes and bought the album right after seeing this.
It's so refreshing to see REAL musicians making REAL music with REAL emotions these days. The entire album is solid from beginning to end too. I highly recommend purchasing this album! Go buy it right now if you haven't already!!!

@mpoconn33....this song has nothing to do with drugs!!!!!!!......take my medicine on my knee...twice a day but latley 3........this album is full of religious connotations.....obviously he taking about praying...
Its inspirational to see people, that you meet at small town festival (Shigawake Music Festival), and watch them flourish into well known musicians. Hope they make it even further than what they hoped for.
Does anyone know if there is a proper name for the technique used on the acoustic guitar towards the start of the song? With the thread/string instead of plucking or strumming? I’ve tried searching but haven’t found anything yet. This performance is stunning, it completely captivated me!
So sick to see what these guys have done and how they've changed. The Slipping Daylights in 1999 is still among my peak musical experiences. Congrats Barr Brothers.
Wool! Thanks for postin! I saw them in Saskatoon and met them, they're really great. I'm a bigger fan of The Slip, but they innovate so much with the Barr Brothers!! :)
What I love about this band is that they can take a wide variety of instruments and adapt them to fit their sound, yet they don't compromise the integrity of the final product. The music doesn't sound forced or over processed. Just pure.
One of the few times where the live version of a song is better then the version on the record!

@ndg43 I think Highproof was alluding to the fact that Brad and Andrew Barr are from Rhode Island.

@PendulumLock I'm trying to figure it out myself. It almost looks like he's pulling the windings off a string or something.
