  • One of the few times where the live version of a song is better then the version on the record!

  • I'm SOOOO happy that I came across this performance on TV the other night! I had never heard of this group and I went straight to iTunes and bought the album right after watching this.

It's so refreshing to see REAL musicians making REAL music with REAL emotions these days. The entire album is solid from beginning to end too. I highly recommend purchasing this album! Let's support these guys!

  • to see it type : Latcho Drom - Balada Conducatorolui

  • sorry oilwhore but he's on his knees DOPESICK!

  • @mpoconn33....this song has nothing to do with drugs!!!!!!!......take my medicine on my knee...twice a day but latley 3........this album is full of religious connotations.....obviously he taking about praying...

  • montreal pumps out some pretty awesome bands!

  • Songs about being a junkie.."take my medicine"..methadone or suboxone.

  • I think Montreal is a neighborhood in East Providence.

  • @highproof Montreal is a city in Quebec, Canada.

  • @ndg43 Just a joke, no worries, Quebec is a lovely city.

  • @highproof That went right over my head! I forgot that they're from Rhode Island--sorry! They're based in Montreal now--right?

  • @ndg43 I think Highproof was alluding to the fact that Brad and Andrew Barr are from Rhode Island.

  • Its inspirational to see people, that you meet at small town festival (Shigawake Music Festival), and watch them flourish into well known musicians. Hope they make it even further than what they hoped for.

  • Does anyone know if there is a proper name for the technique used on the acoustic guitar towards the start of the song? With the thread/string instead of plucking or strumming? I’ve tried searching but haven’t found anything yet. This performance is stunning, it completely captivated me!

  • @PendulumLock Brad's the only one I've ever seen do it....

  • @highproof : I saw a old violonist do it in a beautiful eastern Europe movie called Latcho drum

  • @TheFrankChab : latcho drom (sorry)

  • @TheFrankChab sweet clip! I'm gonna watch the whole film. Some old gypsy shit, love it!

  • @PendulumLock I'm trying to figure it out myself. It almost looks like he's pulling the windings off a string or something.

  • "garsh that was nice" lol Dave.

So sick to see what these guys have done and how they've changed. The Slipping Daylights in 1999 is still among my peak musical experiences. Congrats Barr Brothers.

  • Nice job Brad and Andrew. Congrats.

  • bow and string on guitar... pretty unique. Thumbs up if r/Quebec brought you here !

  • Great Sound!

  • Wool! Thanks for postin! I saw them in Saskatoon and met them, they're really great. I'm a bigger fan of The Slip, but they innovate so much with the Barr Brothers!! :)

  • it kind of sounds like there are frogs croaking in the background... :) i like it, whatever it is.

  • OH MAN!!! YAYY!!!! MONTREAL!!!!!!!

  • That was great. Thanks.

  • Amazing performance, I hate Letterman, but if he has more bands like this on his show maybe I should watch his show more.

  • So awesome!! Great job!

  • SWEET, COME BACK TO SF WE LOVE YOU!!! happy new years!!

  • Bravo à toute l'équipe. Merci pour la douceur et la simplicité de votre musique. Thanks for this melodic sweetness.

  • Félicitations! Another great musical export from Montreal. Nice exposure of all your instruments.

  • Good accomplishment!!

  • Walter Junior from Breaking Bad grew up really fast. I'm proud that he's a singer now.

  • @kbernardp flynn...?

  • @CohoMeg Yeah, his friends have been calling him Flynn ever since his Dad went nuts and showed up naked at a grocery store. Dads are so silly.

  • This songwriting could go toe to toe with anything Dylan ever wrote

  • @PCFilth92

let's just take it easy, kid

  • cool!!! ;D

  • Really to be watched, great performance.

  • great stuff, guys!

  • What I love about this band is that they can take a wide variety of instruments and adapt them to fit their sound, yet they don't compromise the integrity of the final product. The music doesn't sound forced or over processed. Just pure.

  • Bravo!

  • Yea Brad! doin it right

  • So happy for this crew. Got to tour with them this summer and they are an amazing bunch!

  • Nice Job Boys! (and girl) !!!

  • witnessing greatness.
