I first heard it in 1971 on a Warner Bros compilation promo copy. For months I played it for anyone who walked through the door. I still have it. Incredible.

Turley is my ex brother-in-law, and also my godfather. He was married to my sister Adrian. I'm 45 now, and have been listening to his music since I was very little. I still get chills when I hear him sing this song. His range is incredible. I'm a keyboardist now, but he picked out my first guitar when I was 5 years old. :)

@dcnutter Yes, the awesome range! I first heard this in the 60s when it was on a Warner Sample Vinyl. I remember sitting there thinking "That's not the same man? It can't be!" To this day, it is one of my favorites, and my hat's off to Turley Richards for bringing "True Love" to the 60s for me.
