WRONG DAVE STEWART PICTURED!!! You are showing a pic of the dave stewart of Eurythmics, NOT the dave stewart of EGG. They have been getting mixed up forever...please dont perpetuate the myth that they are the same guy. the guy pictured doesnt play any prog/fusion like the real dave stewart does.
@LiteracyLabyrinth Sounds like a guitar, but I think Dave (not the Eurythmics, but the Canterbury prog figure) Stewart is making all these noises on his organ. Which is pretty impressive. In fact, if you listened to something like "A Visit to Newport Hospital" you could swear there's a lead guitar solo somewhere in the middle. But no, just Stewart abusing the heck out of his fuzz and wah pedals on the Hammond!
@MrEbertScientist Mont Campbell himself has confirmed that Egg didn't use any synthesizers. Dave Stewart's rig was a heavily treated Hammond organ (along with Hohner Pianet) and tone generators.
wtf is a tone generatror? a synthesiser?

If it ain't no guitar, maybe they are making some sort of treated feedback with a microphone.

@Madnessfan34537 No. I just saw there was a question going on. It sounds like he has complete knowledge of this band.

I doubt there would be any guitar on this. An certainly the wrong Dave Stewart in the photo :)

Sembra un intermezzo dei Radiohead... solo che è del 1970; scusate se è poco! Grandi "Egg", il Canterbury sound è inarrivabile!

@stereom I'm pretty sure that the sound is a synthesizer. I'm quite sure that you couldn't make that sound with an organ.
