This is the reason I hate Guitar Hero, well hate is a strong word, but I think you should at least be able to do it without tapping or rubber-banding or such. I'm sure some people can, but...what about us mortals!?

Someone I work with can do it one handed, but pretty much only the top of the top are able to, it's just too fast for the majority.

At any rate, GH3 was known for being charted A. More difficult. B. Worse (way too many three note chords and generally overcharting some songs).

They've gotten a lot better with more recent additions though. The last few GHs have been much easier.

@SSoHPKC gh3, imo, is WAY easier than GH Rock the 80's. GH3 may had an abnormally large amount of 3-button chords, but Ghrt80's has a LOT more. Also, GH3 may have a lot of hons and poffs, but Ghrt80s spams them. I'll give you an example as a vid response.

@mickey0433 through the fire flames is one of the hardest songs, its not meant to be easy. And beating the intro isnt really that hard, you dont have to tap to beat the intro its just much much easier.

Start small. If you have Johnny I Hardly Knew Ya that's a great song to try out on. Otherwise it'll take some practice.

Fun fact, it took over 15 minutes for me to get the fast part right because I had to hold the controller at an odd angle so the camera would capture the frets correctly.

I used to be too, but I was damn determined to tap the "Check This" section of Johnny I Hardly Knew Ya. Also, tapping in GH Metallica is easier since you can miss a note and not have to restrum it, so that helped there as well.

I find it funny/sad I managed to FC the red snake before the Intro *sigh* Of all the parts on guitar hero 3 I find the intro to that the hardest and considering I can pass all other songs without trouble it kind of makes me sad. Oh anyways when you get all your videos uploaded sometime in October I'd love to see some Guitar Hero or Rock Band Videos :)

Nope, not if a note is a hammer-on. As long as it glows white, you only need to hit the button, no strumming required.

Since almost the entire intro is hammer-ons, you can just tap through the entire thing. It's much easier than one-handing it for me since I can't even do that.

On Guitar Hero 3 onwards you will see notes with Bright centers in them these are Hammer On's/ Pull Offs. When you hit the first strum note you don't need to strum the bright notes.
