  • @Firearmsforall the ppk was a police pistol

  • didn't the Germans use Walther ppk's as well ?

  • Wow, a slideshow of stolen pictures. Stick to COD, chum.

  • @RyeOnHam Um last time I checked Call of Duty didn't even have half the firearms listed in this video so check your facts their, CHUM.

  • @jrpeters5

Wow, sport, I don't really know what COD is, but you're just confirming my suspicions by replying that you DO know.

  • @RyeOnHam Well now you do and just because I happen to know what it is doesn't mean anything.

  • if the Mp44/stg44 came of sooner it could have won ww2

  • the most of this funs you can find too at call of duty united offensive!

  • the gun which had the most effect on the weapons revolution was the mg34 it had an aircooled barrel and it was usuable by 1 person and its my favourite

  • are you sure that Stg 44 is the same as mp 43 not mp 44. Because the research on the general purpose rifle began in 1943 but was halted by Hitler and then the development continued in 1944.

  • MP38 and MP40 are the same caliber. the MP40 was just a cheaper manufactured version

  • volkssturmgewehr is 7.92 kurz right?

  • Nice collection of images; some of those weapons, such as the Mauser HSc & Sauer 38h, I had not even heard of before.

A bonus is I haven't heard this music in years(I had all but forgotten about Janes World War 2 Fighters); that alone was worth the video. Thanks :D

  • 5 stars, it's what you said it would be, no more, no less.

  • not bad, maybe if you really had alot of time (which no one seems to have.)myou could put in some commentary for those people out there who have no clue about german small arms of WWII but otherwise I'm impressed it gets 5 stars. its what you said it would be, no more, no less.

  • Nice music, janes WWII fighters right?

  • Very nice vid. Yeah the words kinda got in the way on some pics. It would be great to just add to this video, like some chemical agents used, bullets, who used what gun at what time during what invasion/front, etc.

Amazing that Germany had such an arsenal compared with the rest of the allied nations, and an overwhelming amount of trained troops, and still lost the war...

  • anybody know if the p38 or the luger was more used for the wehrmacht im not sure which one and it could help.

  • Im very happy this isn't just a cod5 crappy attempt video. gj

  • Yeah, thanks. I know what I am talking about, unlike the people that only know weapons they have seen in Cod WaW and nothing else. All those videos pretty much fail...

  • @jrpeters5 yeah they do fail. period. anyone who is a real gun expert will know the gunplay in the COD series is just unrealistic bullshit.

  • @jrpeters5 they r failures but u have nice vids. good job m8

  • @emericaluvr i agree people say they know load about guns they only know about them because of call of duty they dont know the history or anything

  • That MP34 is one beautiful piece of work.

  • good vid, nice music 5*

  • The captions cover the images, make it so they don't.

  • you should of added some of the revolvers

  • is it just me or is the magazine attached to the mp 38 in an angle??

  • antitank

  • yeah, roughly a 90 degree angle from the barrel :P

    looks fine to me (Y)

  • What is a Panzerbuchse 38 is a machine gun?? a anti tank weapon or what is it plizz someone??

  • Not exactly an "Anti tank" weapon as it was not really effective at that job. More of an anti material rifle. Hope that helps :)

  • thanks :)

  • Ha. MG42, aka, Hitler's Buzzsaw.

  • you should have put in the nickname for the m24 grenade XD the potato masher!

  • modle 24 grenade also known as the potato masher! XD

  • nice work with your brother, man ! it's help alot for my comics for ww2. good job !

  • are the mp 38 and the mp 40 the same besides the caliber

  • They are same caliber, the main differences are the materials used, the MP40 used simpler production techniques to cut production time.

  • @MOOSE1633 the mp40 uses the 9x19 parrebellum round which seemed perfect for a cqb sub machine gun

  • this guy fucked up on the pics the mp38 looks like the mp34, he just showed two mp-40's. most of the nazi SMG's used 9-mm rounds

  • @cheeba1994 Wow, you must be kidding right? The MP38 and the MP40 have only a few slight differences, I assure you the picture for the MP38 WAS an MP38 and the one for the MP40 WAS an MP40. And um, your comment makes absolutely no sense, you just said I put two pics of the MP40 for both the MP40 and the MP38 and then you say that the MP38 looks like an MP34. Those two guns look nothing alike and not to mention the pictures I put were correct for the gun name. Think before you post.

  • @cheeba1994 GERMAN smgs.

  • Very nice, you could add the Artillery Luger, the MG15, and the Panzerwurfmine.

  • well done good job

  • The mp40 and mp38 are really alike, but also very good guns.

  • i dunno if it was used in great numbers, but at the begining of the war, the germans still used their mg08's up until around 1942

  • Yes, early in the war.

  • are you the same person as ajpeters12 or different

  • I am his brother.

  • the stick grenade was also known as the potato masher because of its look

  • Uh, yes thank you for that tidbit.

  • actually they are just the years they are manufactured in, for instance the 40 stands for 1940, and 38 stands for 1938, because the mp40 holds a standard clip of 32 rounds same with the mp38

  • No, as I said, the MP40 introduced some cost-saving measures like using more stamped parts instead of machined ones. If they were exactly the same, then why would they be called two separate names? Look it up yourself if you don't believe me.

  • they do look a lot alike tho

  • whats the diff between mp40 and mp38, is it just differant models? or does it stand for the capacity each clip has.

  • There are very few differences. The MP40 introduced had some plastic put on the side that the MP38 didn't have. The MP40 also used more stamped parts instead of more machined parts. This was to make the MP40 easier and faster to produce. Like I said, there aren't many differences.

  • Great Video

  • Wheres the MG15? Yes, it is an airplane MG but it was used many times by Luftwaffe ground forces when they where low on automatic weapons. I would call it quite common in Luftwaffe ground batallions, especially on 'poor' front like North-Africa and in the late stages of the war.

  • dang i dont no how to prenous some of these guns

  • I want to add some information to your video. In 1943, Germany bought some miles of the handgun called Astra (models 400 and 600) manufactured in Spain, germans called the 600 model, Pistolen 600/43 or P.43 with the same ammunition of the Luger. For use of the Wehrmacht and the Luftwaffe.

  • I am aware of the Astra however, this only includes common weapons of the Germany Army. The Germans didn't buy many Astra handguns.

  • Oh! yes They did!!! they use these handguns in spain in our civil war, the people of Wolfram Freiherr von Richthofen, and they bought a lot of miles for the wehrmacht and luftwaffe. the germans are very selective in some areas... our guns are powerfull and strong like them. I don't like the nazis but our guns are like their or better

  • No, the Germans only bought a few, I don't recall seeing many Germans armed with an Astra. The Astra was probably issued to troops that were not expected to see much combat.

  • I always loved the mauser styles.

  • Uh, no they are two completely different guns...

  • whats this song?

  • I wouldn't be able to tell you, when I found this it was from an unknown artist. I went through a great deal of trouble to find this song.

  • could you do a video of the sniper rifles of WWII and include such ones like the PRTS-41 and the german vampir night sight

  • I don't know, I haven't had time to make many videos lately.

  • wow the videos are great get more on

    thanks

  • lol half-life trench war mod music...chaos

  • A very nice video, but I miss the Faustpatrone. The first Panzerfaust design with was not good enough and then the Germans started to make bigger and bigger panzerfausten.

  • the stick grenade is also called the "potato masher."

  • A very good quality video. Although I would disagree that the Panzerfaust, Panzershreck, and Flammwerfer were small arms. These items would have been seen in use by engineers and anti-tank battilions. These are also heavy weapons and are capable of destroying tanks and doing heavier damage than regular small arms.

  • Small Arms in most militaries are classified as any weapon that can be carried by one soldier and still keep up with the main force. Panzerfaust and the others can still do that.

  • Ok. I guess it depends on what definition is used for I know it has changed through the years. Still a great video!

  • You forgot the MP41

  • The MP41 was not a common infantry weapon, so therefor was not included. I only included weapons that were common and did not include experimental or uncommon weapons.

  • Yeah, great Video, Great Weapons.

  • sorry if i am mistaken but i do believe the the sturmgewehr 44 was called the mp43 in its first months of battle. But then Hitler found out about it(he didn't aprove the weapon but the enginers secretly kept producing them) and he liked it so it was renamed more apropriately the sturgewehr 44 (storm rifle 44)

  • 39M Danuvia... does anyone know this gun? This is a Hungarian weapon from ww2 greetings from Hungary

  • I am sorry, but I do not study Hungarian weapons and I have not heard of that weapon. If that weapon is real, then it is probably one of the few Hungarian guns that were used solely by the Hungarians. Most of the Hungarian armies probably used German or Soviet arms.

  • No problem :D this is a real gun just copy it to google and you will find pictures. There were only a few guns in the ww2 from Hungary

  • i wanted to have them explained.

  • I have the Sauer 38H, had it my whole life, my uncle brought it back. The 38H is a very well designed weapon but the barrel is so short it is for close range only. It is a double action and most were 7.65 cal.

  • I have airsoft luger P-08 and mauser 98k :)

  • over any of those guns i would chose the sprgfld 30/06 w/scope liek my fav gun of all time got me first deer with one of em :)

  • The springfield sucks dick compared to a K98. I got my first deer with the K98. No joke.

  • The Springfield M1903 in my opinion is better.

  • Both are good rifles but I like to K98 better.

  • can someone explain to me the difference between a small arm and a large one?

  • Well, there isn't really such a thing as a "large arm". They call military firearms, "small arms" because it is technically what they are called, in addition they are called small arms because they are small compared to other arms like Tanks, aircraft, missiles, other military vehicles, anti-aircraft batteries, anti-tank guns, and others. Hope I answered your question. Any more questions just ask.

  • mp40 is my favourite probably and do you know any sites were i could see all the guns used in ww2?

  • were is the mp-3008

  • That was an uncommon weapon. Only used in the battle of Berlin and a lot were made but the fact that it came so late (the last month or so of the war). I thought it didn't deserve to be mentioned.

  • also for grenades there is the model 43 and the model 39. and for machine guns, the mg08 was used in ww2 also

  • hey great vid, forgot one submachine gun though. The mp 3008, it was a last ditch weapon used by the germans in the last months of the war

  • great video....what is the music soundtrack?

  • I am afraid I went through a great deal of trouble to get this soundtrack. I doubt you can obtain it.

  • Ive got to admit, you firearms presentation videos are better then mine jrpeters.

  • Thanks! Yours aren't bad either.

  • Yes but for insdstance for my Nazi germany one, i went into too much detail and the text colour made it difficult to read.

  • all hot guys reading this hit me up on MSN Messenger ID jane23belle. im bored xD L

  • Don't have an MSN sorry.

  • you'll see just difference in surface of gun as mp38 is made of thick metal,mp40 just thin (stamped?)parts.otherwise the same look.

  • USA RULES

  • Well, there is one I didn't put in there. I forgot to put an MP41 in this slideshow. The MP41 is an MP40 with a wooden stock. Its a very cool gun. The MP38 and the MP40 both had foldable stocks if that answers your question. Anymore questions, just ask.

  • come on jr , mp41 is NOT cool at all , looks terrible :-) i agree it has collector's value,it's pretty rare , but ugly

  • Well, not much. The MP40 was more or less an improved MP38. The MP40 was an improvement in that it was simpler in design, easier to manufacture, as well as a few other slight modifications. The reason I mentioned it is because the Germans used it when they invaded Poland as well as its surrounding neighbors before they adopted the MP40. Thanks for the comment! Any other questions, feel free to ask.

  • I am a history major. I just had to give my 2 cents.

  • And I am supposed to give a damn? I hate to break it to you but you don't know anything much less everything. Where did you get your history major, a cereal box? If you don't stop then I will block you. If you think I am joking then just try me and see what happens.

  • How come there is no German flag in the begging ?

  • I admit the Germans made some great weapons!

  • Yeah, I know.

  • And tanks.

  • Yes.

  • Thats why most German soldiers would fire in bursts.

  • No way. The MG42 was a little less accurate but not by much and even so, it wouldn't matter because it had such a high rate of fire (1200 rpm).

  • The MG45 was a waste of material, waste of people to work on it, and waste of time. The MG42 performed well enough for the task of a GPMG (General Purpose Machine Gun). The MG42 only had 2 real problems. It required frequent barrel changes because of overheating so quickly with its high rate of fire. Second, it ate through ammo like crazy. It was already simple enough to produce so it was probably better the MG45 didn't get into production before the end of the war.

  • dude very good video but u have forgotten the walther ppk i think u have got it mixed up with another firearm

  • Thank you, and I know I forgot the Walther PP. I didn't mix it up though. All the guns have the correct names in the video.

  • Germans soldiers had better weapons than U.S.Army in WW2 but germans didn't have spirit of combat like americans

  • Not really. The U.S. had the M1 Garand which was very good. Then again, the Germans had the StG44.

  • Germans kicked american asses whenever they were equal in number.

  • Uh, no. Germans only had a margain of success against the Americans in the Battle of the Bulge. But that was because of suprise and they were against an American force along an 80 mile front that was 1/20th their size.

  • If the Germans didn't fight on 3 fronts, they would have won.

  • I don't think so.

  • really nice picture of the broomhandle.....can you upload a movie with the broomhandle with the stock?....my interest? started with the game resident evil 4......sorry for my bad spelling...im from sweden

  • No, sorry to disapoint you.

  • Please, the Nazi's were pussy's, the only tough Nazi soldiers were the Panzer Grenedier.

  • Uh, no. Your just saying that because you hate nazis. If you put aside the fact that they were fighting for nazi germany then you would see they are very good soldiers.

  • No, I'm being serious, the ONLY good/decent Nazi soldiers were the Paratroopers, and Panzergrenedier, and tankers, a platoon of conscripts would be no match for a platoon of hardened American paratroopers, or Russians for that matter.

  • That is why the Nazis conquered almost the entire world and it took almost 20 nations to defeat them, because they were bad soldiers (sarcasm) Fool.

  • Entire world!?!?

lol, o.k., if you call Algeria, a bit of Egypt, Tunisia, and most Europe the entire world, then you need to brush up on your Geometry.

Also, they got their asses kicked by the greeks, and French foreign Legion, so STFU.

  • 20 nations to defeat them.. If the Germans knew the Brits had the enigma code, the Germans would have won. The revealed Enigma code ensured the Germans could not get enough fuel and munitions to North Africa. The problem in North Africa was supplies. Even Montgomery admitted he was an inferior commander to Rommel.

  • lol, and you said you were a officer in the us Army.

  • You can't be both an officer and history major ? Do you not need a degree to be an officer ?

  • I never said that, I mean he thought Nazi's were the best people ever, and thought US soldiers were no match for them, he thinks he IS a Nazi pretty much, and he pretty much thinks America sucks, and a lot more stuff, but you should get what I mean.

  • The Army doesn't want wanna be Nazis in their Army you dumb fuck.

  • i like german guns

  • Yeah, I do too.

  • have you ever read the book Soldat or Panzer commander ?

  • No.

  • interesting

  • Yep...

  • You forgot to mention Walther PP

  • Yeah, I forgot that one. I had the picture but somehow must have forgot to include it. Damn shame...

  • Caboose, the description section to the right explains that I only mentioned weapons the Germans used in combat. The MG 30 was used very rarely (if at all) because the MG 34 had replaced it. The MG 30 only really saw much action during the Spanish Civil War. Also, the MG 45 was an experimental weapon and wasn't finalized to be put into production before the end of the war.

  • nice vid a cool one is the mp41 and have u ever seen the origional German sub-machiengun the mp18 it looks alot like the mp34

    5/5

  • Oh yes, the MP41 I forgot. The MP18 I did not mention because the Germans didn't use it during the war. They used the MP34, like you said.
