How to make dog fence wire that doesn't correct your dog

I dont understand how to twist the wire to cancel the signal

I am installing the electric fence rightnow and I am twisting it but it won't cancel

How do I twist a section of the wire and have it continue in the same direction after the twist?

Do I need to cut the wire at all

I found that the wire does not need to be twisted. If you bury the two wires together to the beds it will not transmit a signal to the dogs receiver.
