  • I heard this song in a vans store and its fucking amazing

  • tremendous LP, and this song is stunning. saw it performed live many times...

  • What movie was this song for.there parts of a movie in here

  • @luram86 Since you seem to be unaware of what a music video is, let's just say that those scenes were shot for the video, not for a movie

  • @luram86

It's what got me into this band!!!

    "THE STONED AGE"

  • @luram86

After watching the video I realize nothing from the movie The Stoned Age is in it, even though the movie references BOC allot and uses a few of their songs.

I guess I assumed you were talking about The Stoned Age movie!

  • such a fucking awesome song

  • This songs intro is freaking epic in my opinion.

  • Santana's brother lol

  • this is one of my bands influenced. ...We are hardcore death metal.

  • I saw "Soft White Underbelly" in the early eighties at a small venue in downtown Palo Alto. Soft white underbelly was a name they went by when trying to not draw the masses, at clubs, memory escapes me , the name of that place, and if soft white was the bands name pre BOC. Anyway, want to talk about awesome, go see them in a small venue, I also saw Cinderella 15/16 years later.

In this case as always smaller the better

  • @tonyromano94010 1st time I saw Buck, Joe and Allan play it was in Soft White Underbelly in the summer of 1968. Les Braunstein on vocals and Andy Winters on bass.

  • bad ass

  • Shut the fuck up with this Cowbell shit go back to the fucking 80s with your SNL shit, it's played out.

  • I saw these guys open for KISS in `79 and I have never seen so many guitars on stage at one time if I remember correctly it was 7

  • @GhostsInMyAttic ...and I saw KISS open for BÖC several years before that =)

7 guitars sounds right, during "Cities on Flame" all 5 members of BÖC would be playing guitar (The so-called 5 Guitar Era).

  • @GhostsInMyAttic Nope, it was 3000.

  • @FangsOfTheNidhogg That would be awsoooooome 3000 guitars jamming to this song at once.

    Cheers =]

  • saw these guys last night for new years

  • My brother and I just got interested in vinyls, and my dad had a big collection of '70s and '80s rock albums. There was a BOC album, but unfortunately, this song wasn't on there. I should buy one with this on it!

  • Let me in brought me here too

  • Im a 90s baby & heard this song in "Let Me In" & came here lol

  • I just watched the movie, "Let Me In" and this song was played. It brought me back many good memories.

  • Love this song.

  • @423jaws You are such a sycophantic faggot it's disgusting.

  • @obscureluzername Gosh, all I can say is 'Thank You' .obscureluzername. I really don't mind being called a faggot or being a flatterer.I've been called a lot worse by Arabs down line as I rattle off 50 cal. at em.

  • Every time this song would come on I would always think Iron maiden...???

  • LOVE IT.

  • Like Reo Speedwagon,BOC will be on the road until they drop!

  • I remeber this in AMV hell ahh, the good days :-)

  • It looks like he was burnt out for days and nights in this video.

  • Lol right after I watched this video, (don't fear) the reaper was playing on the radio:o

  • ive knew of blue oyster cult WELL before guitar hero was even thought of, this song always hit me a certain way..its hard to explaine i guess i just kinda feel like the guy that driving around when i hear it in a way i dont know lol except i wouldnt catch myself on fire.

  • Awesomely unique solo. Excellent stuff.

  • I'm gonna need to hear a little more cow bell.....

  • @MickWood1000 ..you beat me to it! Well played, sir! :)

  • Surprised this hasn't been mentioned yet, but does anyone know which city this music video was filmed in? Looks like Los Angeles to me.

  • @vnisanianisback Correct! It was filmed in the storm drains of LA.

  • Filthiest Mustache Ever.

  • Love me some Blue Oyster Cult =]

  • Settle down Dipshit..This song had nothing to do do religion..Go crawl back in your cradle and go back to sleep.

  • When I saw BOC in Detroit, people went ape-shit for this song.

  • @PrincOfCicero there is definitely a difference between hip hop and rap and what you are talking about is rap. I will take this AND hip hop any day.

  • great song but lame music video :/

  • This song was perfect in a death scene in "Let me in."

I like this song. A lot.

  • @BravoR96 ya, this and the break up song are my 2 favorite songs on that movie. :)

  • @CDOGSKIVER yes! totally agree!

  • @BravoR96 Totally agree with you. Always over looked this song til i seen "Let me in" with the subtitles on. Read the lyrics of this song and blew my mind!.

  • @BravoR96

Yeah, that was an incredible scene. I really liked that scene because this is one of my favorite songs.

  • @BravoR96 I just watched that movie :D

  • Great feeling!

  • @trespatines99 AWESOME FEELING...

  • if u love boc u might like austere voyeur

  • No ? about it, tho' -- that gold lame outfit really IS gay...!

  • @Xcitableboy

    1. Your comment makes no sense.

    2. I'm pretty sure the fashion of the year this was recorded isn't up to today's standards.

  • @Zackr27

Today's standards? You mean some shitbag high on dope who's rapping/bragging about things he doesn't have while some hooker with her ass-cheeks hanging out dances in his face?

I'll take this over hip-hop any day. :-D

  • @PrinceOfCicero I agree with you

  • @PrinceOfCicero hell yeah!...plus you need minimum talent to rap, hell as long as you can quote Dr Seuss , you can rap

  • @PrinceOfCicero

P.s. these guys were stoned out of their minds when they wrote this masterpiece. Today's "musicians" are complete douchebags who wish they the amount of talent in Eric Bloom's pinky finger, but it's not because of pot.

  • @PrinceOfCicero LOL true the only true rapper that doesn't rap about that shit is e-dubble. He's not even copywrite yet, you should check him out. Some of my favorite songs = Be a King, Miracle, Let me Ohh.

  • @ZfyrOG hes actually kinda catchy

  • @tylenolnumber3 Yes he is.

  • @PrinceOfCicero hey dude thats some of today's hip hop. you have to check out some common or some good hip hop. blanket statements arent really fair, but yea alot of todays stuff is crap

  • @PrinceOfCicero LOL. So very nicely put!

  • @PrinceOfCicero FUCK YOU

  • @TheSyrupMan Ooooh can't take the truth?

  • @DABombComedy It's not the truth it's an opinion. He talked shit about the Hip-Hop he sees and hears on the radio and TV. If he listened to the earlier Hip-Hop (like he is listening to the earlier rock) he wouldn't talk shit about it. He is just a douche criticizing ENTIRE genre based the little knowledge he have of it. If you feel the same way go back and listen to early Hip-Hop. A Tribe Called Quest, Run DMC, or De La Soul is a good place to start. Seriously go. It wont hurt you.

  • @TheSyrupMan Ok that's a lot clearer. I mean not that i like any of the hip-hop to be honest but you could have been defending any of the genres he talked about.

  • Comment removed

  • @PrinceOfCicero fuck yea :D

  • @PrinceOfCicero I suggest Lupe Fiasco. He raps about real shit, like what the government is doing to us and important issues that matter, not just bitches money and drugs.

  • @PrinceOfCicero these guys were high too. relax haha.

  • I didn't know Joaquin Phoenix was old enough to drive in the 60s. That guy REALLY gets around!

  • Thumbs up iif u think this song makes u feel good

  • Thumbs up if you knew Blue Oyster Cult before Will Ferrell gave us more cowbell

  • i wish the beginning rift would player in my life every time something good happened

  • @6ericf6 AGREED :D

  • @mascou77 this is a group of very fine old men

and just because there old doesnt mean they suck, remember queen, alice cooper, black sabbath, and the beatles

  • Oh how I wish that this song was on Sing star amped !

  • ROCK AND ROLL!!

  • I Love Buck Dharma's voice he'll make a very good power metal singer/vocalist out of anyone

Just sing along with any BOC song that he sang lead on

  • Heard this song off my fave movie Let Me In and fell in love with it

  • thisis what i sing when i set babies on fire

  • Why did they are at the Hellfest they are so g*y and old!

  • @mascou77 It is fact that closeted g*ys call others g*y. Just embrace your g*yness. Old you will be as well. Well, with your way of thinking.........you won't make old.

  • @dscottblue You don't have to censor yourself, just say it. Gay. Gay.

  • @mascou77 Thanks for censoring that, I find the letter "a" really offensive.

  • man i cant wait for the concert

  • this is by far one of the greatest songs ever written in ROCK history!!! it inspires and gives me the fuel i need to move forward while looking back!!! thanks a MILLION and God Bless B.O.C. Peace...

  • This video takes place in an alternate dimension, where Mario foregoes plumbing and settles for rock and sex.

    Damn straight.

  • @smartasshater you said it brother!!! :)

  • Be sure to check out the film "Roadie" when it comes out January 6th. BOC is in the plot line and I hear some of the lesser known songs are on it. This could start a nationwide BOC revival!

  • You guys are absolutely the best fucking hard rock/metal hybrid there fucking is!!!

As someone who appreciates good music, I always think B.O.C. first!!!

  • @TR2ification AWESOME!!!

  • fuck yeh!

  • 1:41 she walked away from rock legends fuck you

  • I partied at my friends' Mike and Wally's apartment from '72 til '75, and we'd drink brewskies, smoke reefer, and listen to the stereo and LP's. (Vinyl) And Wally had a black light for after midnight parties, with psychedelic posters luminating fluorescently. But Blue Oyster Cult was a multi-hit Outfit and they're songs were the background music for many memorable parties!!!You can't call them 1-Hit Wonders!!!

  • @TheTriple3R SOUNDS EPIC DUDE, luv it when a certain song or event brings u back to an amazing memory from the past, party on

  • @stonedmickweed TRIPLE EPIC MASTERPIECE!!!

  • Thumbs up if you knew blue oyster cult before guitar hero came out

  • @savexinc We need more fourteen yearold's like you! :-)

  • @thegrimreaper7 who's the guitar hhero?

  • @thegrimreaper7 ... Saw them first time in 1977. Awesome.

  • @thegrimreaper7 Blue oyster cult was on guitar hero? Cool.

  • @thegrimreaper7 god i grew up with them!! bring on the cowbell!!

  • @thegrimreaper7 Well, I didn't know about BOC until after Guitar Hero came out.

But I didn't know about BOC from Guitar Hero. Hell, I've never even played Guitar Hero.

So I'm pretty sure it still counts.
