Yeah great. Our military just fought a war against these people. Now, we are training them to use OUR tactics,Our weapons, Our skills. The NEXT TIME we fight them our casualties will be higher Or they will train terrorist with these tactics, or attack our ally , Israel with them. I say leave them in the 100,s and take the oil.

@musketeerinfla Hell we already trained al qaeda and the taliban (back when we called them freedom fighters instead of terrorists), so why not train the next group? Honestly this war is just as much about the oil as it is about the opium.

@Spokanebackpacker198 ...Not sure how the Generals get rich off of arms sales, they have a pay grade just like everybody else in the military....they might not give "two fucks," but neither do we of them...the goal is regional stability. If Iraq ends up with a decent military and any semblance of a functioning democracy, it will bring more stability than their was prior. The end-state is a region that can function without(as much)radicalism.Give 'em all the M16's they want.

I know it's all politics, but I just don't think we should be training them how to fight and supplying them with modern arms. It will mean more American soldiers in body bags the next time we have to fight them.

Great job guys. I knew we were training the Iraqi's but had no idea it was to this extent. With the importance of training in the American military I probably should have expected that they would carry the same expectation for those they train.

@TheBikefish Yes, that was my bad, didn't realize they were Iraqi. I was still feeling bitter after 3 of our soldiers were shot dead and 7 wounded by an ANA soldier that went rogue.
