I got a Cruzer Crafter strat and that handles metal pretty well too surprisingly. I mostly play on my Dean, Jackson, and Schecter guitars though. I like the Dean guitar the best. ;o

Gain sounds really good on it depending on what you use. if this were a live club gig recording you would hear all of the feedback that comes from it though. otherwise its really good. i see people play blues on it but never metal. Slap in some new pickups and you have sleeper guitar that no one is going to see coming...

why does Drop C have to be used for Extreme metal?

i play in Standard and D Standard and i can play extreme metal just fine.

the only times i really use drop C is if i want a deep death metal tone.
