  • Finally SOMEONE THAT GETS IT!! I want a sequel as well! SOTN is by FAR, BY FAAARR!!! One of the best side scrolling RPG/Adventure games EVER MADE!! I have ran through this game about 10 times and each times it still brings me the same excitement it did when I first played it! Awesome game!! KONAMI< get your heads out of your CULO's (That ass in spanish for my difficient spanish peers) LOL! Lets go KONAMI get it together!!

  • I beat the game in luck mode in one sitting and got through every room(200.6%) in less then 6 hours

  • im curious to know your feelings about CV lords of shadows..i dont remember you doing any comentary about that master piece..if you say you like CV lament of innocence & curse of darkness for wat they are, wich i love them alot.i wander how u feel about lords of shadows..?i hope you do liked atleast close to how i loved

  • WELL im a huge fan of castlevania games they are the most sacred games in my life.but iknow i love symphony of N,but i dont think is the best CV game ever,,many CV games are great..in my personal belief i like even more CastlevaniA lords of shadows..it feels to me more like a true CV experoence..but of course is you taste & i respected..yes i wish they could make a CV HOD volumen 2..where you could play with trevor belmont,a new updated simon belmont, just, reinhardt schneider, leon, gabriel+belmont

  • Finally got around to playing this epic game. Could not put it down, and completely agree with everything in this video. totally making this my first LP.

  • Hehe Castlevania Serenade of Dawn?

  • Don't worry dude, If I won the lottery I'll fund to make a sequel for a Castlevania Sotn still in 2D! same goes for Xenogears and Vagrant story.

  • Actually Aria of Sarrows and Dawn of Sarrow are the sequels to that game...

  • I've never played it before but i've heard people who love it talk about it and i think if it was such a great game why make a sequel and ruin it just leave it as a classic i mean i would be a lot happier if dragon age 2 hadn't come out or mass effect 2 and 3 even though i still like mass effect 2 just not half as much as the first one. Even though it sounds really cool in everyones heads half the time its the opposite, although maybe a remake for the new generation with additional content etc.

  • I feel retarded....i thought this was about a rumor that came up about a sequel and that you were ranting about how they should protect the classics...that even sounded retarded as i type it out and read it

  • I agree dude!

  • i would die to see a remake or a sequel

  • @AlphaOmegaSin This is probably a real dumbass question but whats the deal with the band around your right hand? It just keeps catching my eye randomly.

  • By sequel, am sure he meant a game in which Alucard is also the protagonist.

I wish I could get to level 99, though xD

  • Well, I really liked most of the newer Castlevania games.

For example, Castlevania Order of Ecclesia was fantastic!

I loved that game, but I think that you have a really good point.

KONAMI should make a sequel to some of the older Castlevania

games like CV SOTN, CV Bloodlines, Super CV4, CV Advanture,

    or CV Legends.

  • I would rather see a remake of the Castlevania NES Trilogy.& I thought Castlevania III:Dracula's Curse was better than Symphony of the Night but i still like it.

  • They could re-make it, but a sequel to a popular game is hard to do if you don't do it just right. perhaps they haven't because they wanted to try different ideas in castlevania games before they did. it really doesn't need a sequel. games don't really need sequels, unless they need to finish the story, or reveal a new one. it has sequels, they just aren't direct sequels.

  • I could swear Richter was voiced by the same voice actor as Chris Redfield in RE1.

  • What you described sounds like Harmony of Despair

  • Beileve it or not, I actually loved the 64 versions alot,

  • WHAT IS A MAN!?

  • I think if there was going to be a sequel for CSOTN... it would need a sequel as good as the first one...

or otherwise it would ruin it... just quite a bit... CSOTN was a masterpiece

  • AOS is a spiritual sequel to SoTN.

  • if anybody wants to view a lets play of the game crimeinpartner has one

  • You have no idea how many times this thought has crossed my mind. It kicked so much butt when I played it, I can't get tired of it...I tried to, but couldn't!

  • All the games SINCE Symphony have been trying to be sequels to Symphony.

And the only one that you could ever really say was a TRUE spiritual successor, is Aria of Sorrow.

Also, Symphony already WAS a sequel.

It was a sequel to Demon Castle Dracula X: Rondo of Blood for the PC Engine

it might be just Symphony of the night in the west, but in japan it was known as "Demon Castle Dracula X: Nocturne in the Moonlight". It is a sequel to Richter's game, which is why it starts off at the end.

  • Symphony of the night is extremely EXTREMELY overrated. I just dont agree that its the best CV game ,one of the best sidecrollers , or even best konami game.

  • I'd KILL for a sequel. I'd also kill to play the Saturn version.

  • I would buy a Castlevania Symphony Of Night sequel right away, it would be awesome

  • That's a good fucking Idea, so I comment and I fucking say stuff.

Make SotN2, I'll buy it and I'll make sure every single friend of mine that has a console buys it.

  • "One of the most best selling Palestinians one of the strongest ever ever.."

I love you, transcribe audio beta.

  • Id like to see another metroidvania in HD with the oldschool dark atmosphere period be it a SOTN sequel or not. The XBLA and PSN Store would be perfect for such a game.

  • i totally agree they should make a side scroll 2d high def graphic sequel to symphony of the night but it should have some more demonic feeling like how simon's quest had and pointless secrets like simon's quest helz yeah! why do they make exclusives for xbox360? i hate 360 and yer right the new lords of shadow is god of war very retarded i liked lament innocence

  • Richter: Die Konami you don't belong in this world

Konami: it was not by my hand that I was once again given a sequel. I was Called here BY HumanS (fans) who wish to pay me Tribute.)

Richter: TRIBUTE?! you steal mens souls and make them your slaves

Konami: Perhaps could be the same about all Game Companys

Richter: your words are as empty as your soul Mankind ill needs a sequel such as you.

Konami: WHAT IS A Sequel? A miserable little pile of games but enough talk have it YOU!

  • IMAGINE RICHTER USING HOLY STORM IN HD!!!! HOLY SHIT!!!

  • Castlevania Symphony of the Night is so fucking awesome that i ended up playing the sega saturn version just so i could play the extras xD

  • Did u play Harmony of Despair?

  • It would be cool as well if they had a hard mode. Since SOTN is kind of easy.

  • @0PyramidHead lol SOTN IS easy xD

  • @TheDeatharcana Yeah. It would also be good to have boss rush mode like in the GBA, DS and PSP ones.

  • Symphony of the Night doesn't need a sequal. We already had tons of Castlevania games on the portables that are done in the same style. There's no need for a Symphony of the Night 2.

  • @foottothenuts you're a fucking moron

  • @TheDeatharcana You're a fucking moron. A sequal would make NO sense. To continue the story? The game barely had a story. To evolve the gameplay? That was alreay done in the portables. You don't know SHIT.

  • @foottothenuts nope, it seems you really don't know the game pretty well or rather you don't seem to like the game that much

  • @TheDeatharcana Nope. Seeing as how Castlevania is my favourite video game series and I can complete Symphony of the Night 200% In about 12 hours I know the game well.

You're just a fucking moron that can't think logically and see that it doesn't need a direct sequal. The GBA and DS games carry on the legacy fine.

  • @foottothenuts either way i would actually like a sequel to the game, or more like a new castlevania game where you get to play with Alucard, Richter and Maria. Those 3 are my main favorite characters and the gba and ds ones made a pretty good job but there was no Alucard (except to dawn of sorrows, but it was really bullshit the way they brought Alucard back)

  • @TheDeatharcana You are really shallow if you need the game to have alucard to be good.

The only Castlevania game that NEEDS to be made is 1999.

  • @foottothenuts nope, all i pointed at was to the fact that i'm a fan of Alucard, but either way its just quite pointless to argue about this kind of things when it all comes down to people's preference

  • @foottothenuts Some people want a sequel because it is in medieval europe and we like how alucard and richter play.

  • @Brandon5l9 even though Symphony of the Night is in the 1700s and almost all other Castlevania games take place in similar locatons?

  • @foottothenuts I said that wrong. Compare it to the sorrow games, or POR, or HOD. SOTN's atmosphere just kills them IMO. Also alot of people really like how Alucard plays. He has spells, sub weapons, forms, gear, and familiar pets. Alot of people are also huge fans of playing Richter. imagine if they completed him with an inventory and something similar to the DSS in COTM? Also the Castle itself does not feel the same in later games. It feels more like Bowsers Castle, not Dracula's.

  • Totally agree with you, you should get off your fucken arse and get a job a konami, lol!!!

  • IGA was going to make a sequel, but Konami chose LOS over his game pitch.

  • great video once again..i have yet to play SOTN but want to...my favorite is curse of darkness...that game was addicting as shit

  • dude, i love your videos so much. You're so angry at shit ahaha. But i do catch your drift. Video game companys have turned into absolulte tards.

  • Agreed

  • i never get tired of looking at ur new intro

  • eeew man i was eating dinner and watching this. Be less descriptive when it gets to the jizzy parts D=

    Good video!

  • Very awesome video, I agree 100%.

What's your take on Aria of Sorrow or Harmony of Dissonance?

  • castlevania lords of shadow suck its a god of war want be. i want my 2d castlevania

and Vampire Killer whip back ! for the love the god Gabriel Belmont weapon is a ball in a cup but Patrick Stewart as narrate is ok what next Big Boss Ancestry in

    the nexts castlevania game !

  • Comment removed

  • yeah I know man they should do all those Ideas but no!

  • yeah I know man they should do all those Ideas but no! they just have to have their heads stuck up in there ass.

  • @sticktail1 Not the jiz on it part though!

  • I know man...I've thought about this very subject so many times. Well said and you covered all the issues. SOTN blew my mind when it came out, and I still enjoy it. One of the greatest titles ever. Each Castlevania that has come out since is just a tease and doesn't capture the feeling and depth that Symphony had. They need to get the same dudes who worked on it to make a sequel. Personally I'm wishing for a Simon's Quest remake by those same guys but I don't think it will ever happen...

  • Aria of Sorrow its the sequel imho...

  • Yeah, I'm with you on that... Symphony of the Night is one of the very best games I've played, it had me totally hooked. I still love to play it every now and then. An absolute masterpiece.

I don't get it either... why don't they make a sequel? If you ask me, Konami wouldn't even need to improve anything. Just keep the original graphics and sounds if you're lazy but give us more of this game dammit!

By the way, what is the intro music? It's freaking awesome.

  • Castlevania Harmony of Dissonance for GBA was the closest thing that we ever got to Symphony of The Night so far.

  • But yes, they do keep making the same concept of SotN but no direct sequels, which doesn't make any sense lol.

  • Not all games need sequels ^^

  • lol i love your companies immation

  • Nope, Dracula X Rondo of Blood is way better than Symphony of the Night.

To me it was the start of this Metroidvania crap.

I want a old school Castlevania like Rondo of Blood,

There is a reason why Alucard at the end says he is not coming back.

  • @snake2006

But he already did come back twice now in dawn of sorrow and aria of sorrow -_-

Rondo of Blood was amazing but was pretty much the pinnacle of the older style castlevania games. once they made symphony of the night in its metroid esque style with exploration in mind and adding in rpg elements it was recipe for success they have used time and time again. for good reason mind you

  • @AlphaOmegaSin

I just prefer the old style ones like Rondo. Which is why I loved the PSP throwback. I had unlocked the original Rondo and SOTN but my mem stick got corrupted and I have to do it again.

I just like the old school versions and would like to come back once in a while with the old school CV like they did with CV The Adventure on the Wii.

As for Alucard I don't have a DS so I never played those ones, last one I played was Circle of the Moon for GBA.

  • The new one sucks..its not really a Castlevania game at all to me .

  • @CatXFlash

i dont think its horrible, its just not great. reminds me of god of war or devil may cry. but definitely doesn't feel like castlevania much :(

  • @AlphaOmegaSin yeah I was never into GOW maybe that's why I feel that way. Oh well lol

  • i never got the originals on saturn and ps1 but when i got my 360 i got it straight away..i absolutely love everything about it..Alucard is beast and the music is sick..it does prove once again that game publishers, men in suits mainly, don't know their customers at all really..same with capcom and an re2 remake..it would sell shitloads

  • @CAVALLIN0

the saturn version of symphony of the night has a bunch of extra stuff like familars, bosses, weapons and items. sadly they never brought that shit here. if you search for vids on here you'll be able to see it in action. like the underground garden area that they took out all together when it was ported to PS1

  • @AlphaOmegaSin Symphony of the Night came out first on the PS1 and was ported to the Saturn in japan.

  • @ImperviousMason the thing is when they brought it over here they could have at the very least given us that version. Or Hell on the xbla version included that stuff for fans. Just kinda sucks the only way to enjoy it is to import it and the Saturn version costs a nice chunk of change. Plus their emulator run like shit

  • @AlphaOmegaSin

They should have a Castlevania Pack in the PSN! Btw love your videos I literally Lol in my pants everytime a new video comes out >_<

  • @AlphaOmegaSin hell yeah man nice viceo...n i just downloaded the symothony of the night on my xbox 360 live..it fuckin hot with the hd crispness

  • @AlphaOmegaSin not to be rude but ur hair makes it look like your waering a poncho

    its just funny

  • Also, this is not like remaking Final Fantasy 7. With today's technology, making an HD 2D sequel to Symphony of the Night would actually be pretty damn cheap, so they could take like 1 year to develop it and spend half as much as they did on Lords Of Shadow and it would look fucking awesome, they could add so much content and so many features. I don't get their logic either.

  • I'm not a big fan of the metroidvania games, I prefer Lords Of Shadow, Castlevania 1, 3 and Super Castlevania 4. However. I played the GBA games, but didn't really like them as much as the linear ones...with one exception: I LOVED Symphony Of The Night, mostly because they made the map from scratch and didn't recycle the enemies or bosses. Also, IT'S FUCKING ALUCARD! ALUCARD! How can you go wrong with the son of Dracula. So yeah, why make 10 SOTN rip-offs instead of 1 SOLID sequel? I'd buy it.

  • @Mykayel

oh itd be super simple for them to pull off and on top of it being simple like you said it would be cheap. but the results would still look amazingly nice and would run great too

  • "horrible games get sequels."

    Vampire Rain

  • @DreadRaptor85

    exactly lol

  • yes bring back alucard, also castlevania has the most kick ass music in my opnion

  • @morbidich1g0

definitely love the music in the game, i imported the soundtrack back in like 2000 lol

  • totally agree with you rant on!!

  • Too true that we haven't gotten a decent CV game since Symphony came out. I mean, somehow I'm in for a GOOD CastleVania game, but the ones that have been released like Lament of Innocence or even the new one, there's no vibe in it. Truth be told, there is a Konami division here in California where I am, and I'm feeling the need to write a letter to them regarding bringing back the old-school style of CastleVania.

  • @pookieizzy7 Most, if not all of the handheld CVs are really good. Check em out if you haven't already.

  • @Moothead2 True, I have them on emu, but Haunted Castle will always remain as the eternal nightmare of all CV games

  • @pookieizzy7

you should totally do it. see its videos like this that just make me hope that the right people get wind of it and spread the word.

  • @AlphaOmegaSin Oh trust me bro, whenever I write letters to companies like Konami, I make sure I light a fire on their ass!

  • @AlphaOmegaSin lords of shadow sucked on 360 . don't know if the ps3 version sucked as bad the 360 version. sometimes thers differences. try castlevania rebirth on wiiware, it's great like castlevania 1 or 3.

  • another great rant, love you bro (no homo) and ive only played some of the Castlevania games, and all of the ones i played were great, but if a game does well... fucking make a sequel dammit!

  • @TheDarkVideos

lol thanks man. they should make a sequel especially after this many years. with the amount of time thats passed and the amount of titles that have hit the consoles you would think it would have happened by now. epsecially with the xbla version selling well along with the psn version and the castlevania chronicles dracula x with symphony of the night as an unlockable, its like do you need any more hints?

  • @AlphaOmegaSin For real dude, i guess some gaming companies dont know what they got till its gone xD
