For most people who are transexuals you have to go through YEARS of psychological counseling before their granted a change, and it is a DEFINITE mental DISORDER(unfortuntaely in San Francisco you can get a same day appointment without having much if any counseling). controversial? rare? acceptance? who really cares about these things....its rare, controversial, and not well accepted to streak across a baseball stadium. and if your a chode it also takes "balls" but people dont look at it as cool because of that. Bullshit. For most people who are transexuals you have to go through YEARS of psychological counseling before their granted a change, and it is a DEFINITE mental DISORDER(unfortuntaely in San Francisco you can get a same day appointment without having much if any counseling). It is a pretty sad situation for tranys cuz no surgery will give them what they want. they stil thnk like men. However, i dont think that amanda lepore is necessarily a legit transexual. i think he just wants to be famous

Thanks, i really care what you think. trannys are not women they are men who have a problem. There is a difference between fact and perception, they may think that they were supposed to be women. But all of the parts of "womanhood" that they typically identify with are the shallow socially conditioned parts. like the style of dress. Have you thought about why your "girlfriend" cannot have children. He was genetically born to not have them, a male. Having mere surgery to change outward appearance does not change inner organ structure. You can implant all you like but will never reverse/repeat the process that happened in the womb when the person was formed. Thus it is a mental disorder, not a hormonal or birth defect. Only hermaphrodites can claim that one.

Indeed not everyone wants to procreate, but, you should read the post I replied to that said their transgender girlfriend wants to but cannot have kids first before spouting off at the mouth. And NO, males cannot have kids. They are but one part of a combined process. Females have children, males do not.

@sinical10 It is actually a birth effect, it has benn prooved that transexuality is a matter of DNA, which make, at puberty, inner personnality grow as a woman, even if it can be mask by social context and pressure. But transexuality, however, isn't a mental disease, it's a DNA issue which can be healed by sex reassignment. being or not being a woman is another question. I don't think being a woman is about possibility to give birth, otherwise sterile women wouldn't be considered as women...
