@teddybeargreaser I think it felt that way mostly because there were fewer ways to save your data. Nowadays, some games are really long, but we barely realize it because we can put the controller down, walk away, and come back later.

@teddybeargreaser Lol, I always saw him as a bit of the Fonz. When I think of Sega, the first "mascot" I think of after Sonic is Kid Chameleon. It's very strange that they never pushed this series further.

I think I have this game in my Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection. I really did like the different transformations.

@RPGDarkLord Sega put out two compilations, and both were really awesome. I got one on the Xbox 360 for like 15 bucks I think.

Mega Man did it first. Kirby copied Mega Man. Kid Chameleon copied Mega Man.

@anupsanju PS I'm not trying to say that Kid Chameleon is a lazy clone (well, it kinda is a Mario clone, but that's not a bad thing), just that it wasn't the first game to include such mechanics.

@anupsanju Well, we could argue semantics all day. Truth is, you're kind of right. I don't classify it as the same type, simply because with megaman, you keep the powers, and they're a permanent reward for defeating one of the robot masters. I'd actually prefer another game to steal the Mega Man style. I've always thought that you could kind of turn the genre on its head by throwing it into the middle ages, and making it all knights and dragons.
