I'm sure that this would have no viability in America. I think too many of us would have been too intimidating for anyone chosen to have been "the Chaser".
Controversial end game to be sure, but I still would like to see this game on my side of the pond...unfortunately here in the US we have too many people who prefer to be idiots to make this game viable. :(
The only thing I don't like about the game is the all-or-nothing format. A little more fair to me would be to pay each initial chase survivor a small guaranteed stipend, say 1000 pounds, and play the Final Chase for the whole pot like usual.
Mark chases are by far the most exciting
