I just watched this movie, and as a 17 year old girl, I feel so ashamed to be in a world where there are monsters like these little animals. I have been hounded so badly by them that they make me fear stepping out of my own home on my own. Although this movie steps to a shocking degree, it highlights how perfectley insane today's youth has become, and it saddens and scares me, god forbid I EVER have children that associate with cruel animals like them.

Guys, this is a real life, it´s not a imagination of someone. Watch movie ILS - Them (the movie in production of Romania/France), which is based on true event and you´ll understand, kids can be so evil not only adults. I was a kid, I trusted them but I´m not sure after the movie ILS and that movie if all kids are good kids. Why? Because they´re not, they can be evil bastards!!!! I cried so hard at the end of "Them".

I did work a construction site where a bunch of 8-13 year old kids tormented us threw rocks at us for no reason, destroyed a bunch of our work. I called them little fckers and one pulled out a bb gun and shot the guy I was working with right underneath his eye and ran. I found out where the main one lived and talked to the mother, she said it was our fault! We called the cops and when they arrived they told us that the oldest one had been in juvi for molesting and cutting a 4 yr old girl!

James Watkins must be disturbed to make such a film with no redeeming features. I feel physically sick after watching this movie. Similar themed movies such as Deliverance provide some balance as the baddies get their comeuppance but Eden Lake is just nasty. Not really horror - just unresolved sadistic brutality.
This film is NOT a horror film - it's more a psychological thriller. Genuinely one of the most disturbing and distressing films I've ever seen. Excellent piece of cinema.
people keep saying the ending is so bad and stuff. a sad or unjust ending, basically one where the main characters die are ALWAYS said to be bad by so many people. to me, an ending where good characters die dosen't make a film bad, or even just the ending. the fact there was no justice by the end was the point of the movie and part of some of the messages it was getting across

Do you think all those killed while taking a walk or camping in the forest, feels it's fair when their killers get away? This movie is provocative and thats what makes it good! I almost cried at the end of it... Glad I saw it thogh cuz i prefer this kind of endings in a strange way, makes the movie more powerfull at the screen turning black... opening the credits and leaves you stunned.

Great movie! Just to add something, I like the ending. It was realistic. It amazes me when people react to realistic endings: lack of justice. I like movies where justice prevails and all that rot, but i do prefer movies with realism. This was a great movie! I passed it up several times before I finally watched and finished it a moment ago. Glad I changed my mind.

James Watkins must be disturbed to make such a film with no redeeming features. I feel physically sick after watching this movie. Similar themed movies such as Deliverance provide some balance as the baddies get their comeuppance but Eden Lake is just nasty. Not really horror - just unresolved sadistic brutality.

This film is NOT a horror film - it's more a psychological thriller. Genuinely one of the most disturbing and distressing films I've ever seen. Excellent piece of cinema.

people keep saying the ending is so bad and stuff. a sad or unjust ending, basically one where the main characters die are ALWAYS said to be bad by so many people. to me, an ending where good characters die dosen't make a film bad, or even just the ending. the fact there was no justice by the end was the point of the movie and part of some of the messages it was getting across

The ending is the point of the movie.. Theres alot of thing going on out there noone knows about. Do you think all those killed while taking a walk or camping in the forest, feels it's fair when their killers get away? This movie is provocative and thats what makes it good! Sitting there angry when its over is way better than sitting there with a smile, thinking the bad guys lost again.. Thats just so clichè..

Wake up! This is a real life. This world is not a fairy-tale. You don´t watch news, do you? Watch a horror movie ILS - Them, it´s based on true event, I cried at the end but then I understood, not all kids - we can´t blame all kids but some kids are so evil that you can´t imagine that. few years ago i was in Germany,i was thinking thats going to be nice trip,but it wasnt..i was with my parents,our car was broken,we stoped in the woods,it was dark so we decided to stay in the car for the night and at the morning repair car but we met people,they were teenagers like in that movie,they knew english,they wanted to help us but they got our car,they hurt my father ,it was really series...thats long story...but now its ok and i dont care about it anymore
