I love that last stanza. It really shows why he could possibly be so transfixed by mere beauty when he explains it's effect on the world and how he sees it. It is romance but put forward in a way that, it seems to me, is both emotional and logical.
"If only your eyes, your smile or your foot reveal the infinite I love and have never known." I personally find this verse mystical. It is another way of seeing a woman as a reflection of the infinite beauty and wonder of God. I am so spiritually thrilled by this. Thank you so much!
Touch my soul, sweet beauty, send me to my doom; i care not. For death comes to us all, one day ;
i give to you everything; a man must give way to something. I love you; We are taught to yield to nothing, sweet beauty, but I yield to you; I care not for consequences,
Sweet beauy, I love you.
Take what you want, claim me, I will live in hell an eternity, and care not; sweet beauty.
Excellent translation and extremely well read. Do you know the name of the translator? As an example of the translator's excellence: "spaniel" where Baudelaire writes "chien;" a bit of a liberal translation, but it sits so well with the rhythm, imagery and sense of the poem that I am very glad here to see "chien" so rendered. Thanks kindly for posting this!
Where did you get the photos from for this video?

@Lindz500 I collected them from Google Images. I may have used "beautiful woman" as my search term.
