It takes XX amount of dollars to run hospitals. If Big Brother steps in and mandates charges, somebody will have to pay. My mother died of a stroke 5 years ago. She had basic health insurance while working 2 jobs. After her first stroke, she was in the hospital having strokes but the doctors were not monitoring her. Ultimately they could have tried brain surgery because there was a 90% chance of she would die without it...even with those odds they did not operate because they decided that it would be too expensive.
