Yes, there are horses that are injured in rodeo but lets not forget the horses that are hurt in eventing and jumping. Injury in inevitable in every sport. Also, really? All we do is abuse our horses? My horse goes to rodeos and my horse is my life! I highly doubt that she is abused.

I think the problem is people assume all animals are just as breakable as humans are. Humans are probably some of the most fragile creatures when it comes down to it; We could be shredded to pieces by a housecat. These rodeo animals are very strong, sturdy, and hardy. The horses and bucking stock know their job. I've worked behind the scenes, they are treated wonderfully back there.

You guys have no idea how much money we put into these horses and animals too keep them in top condition so we can compete on them. I started rodeoing when I was 5 and wouldn't trade it for a minute. Most horses love what they do. So until you step foot in the arena and try our lifestyle I dont want to hear a damn thing about it.

I have mixed feelings about rodeo, it's pretty cool and seem to be fun, like a tradition. But the one thing I don't like with some rodeo- is when the animal get injured by humans so they will be more crazier or that you treat them like objects with no feelings and hurt them. Except all that, it's awesome. ;)
And I'm really sure there is alot of other "horsesports" that have people that also use bad methods with their horses.

I'm friend's w/alot of stock contractors & I've seen how well they take care of their stock...The horse's, bull's, calves, & steer's are grained a couple 50 lbs bags every night plus hay plus the pastures that the stock contractors rent while they're in town. They're treated better than some people treat they're own kids and pet's. Not every horse or bull bucks ¬ every steer or calf runs. Sorry but ur wrong

To all of yall bashing Rodeo, it has accidents just like any other sport. You guys have no idea how much money we put into these horses and animals too keep them in top condition so we can compete on them. I started rodeoing when I was 5 and wouldn't trade it for a minute. Most horses love what they do. So until you step foot in the arena and try our lifestyle I dont want to hear a damn thing about it.

I have mixed feelings about rodeo, it's pretty cool and seem to be fun, like a tradition. But the one thing I don't like with some rodeo- is when the animal get injured by humans so they will be more crazier or that you treat them like objects with no feelings and hurt them. Except all that, it's awesome. ;)
And I'm really sure there is alot of other "horsesports" that have people that also use bad methods with their horses.
