  • It almost seems that during the sit-down interview that Homer and Jethro were holding their instruments in such a manner that it looks as though they were intentionally holding them in a display fashion...almost as if Gibson (the company that made them) were paying them to advertise. Usually a performer will leave their instruments set until needed. I suppose they can can be grateful that they didn't play a Steinway grand piano!

  • Great video. That these guys had fun at their craft is obvious. They were extremely relaxed on stage and never took themselves too seriously.

  • I met Jethro around 1962 in the old Lyon and Healy store in Evanston, Il. In his later years, I was privileged to share the stage with Jethro through many shows through the Old Town School of Folk Music. When Jethro needed an opening act, he hooked up with an unknown talent named Steve Goodman! One of my favorite pairings after Homer and Jethro!
