This would have been the first serious game that Haggar and Poison would have been in. But it's the fanboys fault because they were bitchin about the game. Thanks, fanboys you screwed us common folk from a great game.

Out of this though, Ingrid wound up being in SF Alpha 3 MAX for PSP, could've been a DLC character for TvC, and Haggar is set to appear in MvC3.

But really, a number of things killed this game besides just the negative feedback. Capcom lost a bunch of money from a failed real-estate venture (I'm not even sure if Captron is still around, TBH), so they had to cut losses on some games such as CFAS and Dead Phoenix. Red Dead Revolver ALMOST got canned but Rockstar picked it up as thanks to Capcom for publishing some GTA games over in Japan.
I wanted this to be released years ago, because it seems to play differently from watching it compared to the other fighting games made by Capcom. That was interesting to me.
This game looks pretty good to me. Definitaly better than fighing evolution. Even though personally I don't think that game is as bad as people make it out to be.

Hey Ryu had the Akira yuki shoulder tackle in this game.All Capcom had to do was make this game 2.5D,forget the side step and this game would had been a classic.
Ryu actually looks more interesting in this game then he is SF4. His neutral stance and that back hit move look far more interesting, natural and fluid then his stiff counterpart.
the game by no means look perfect at all. almost as good as Bloody Roar 4 (and that's an insult) but that doesn't mean it had to be canceled. best believe I'd still be playing this game now if it were released, I collect as many fighting games as possible. hell I still play SFEX2 from time to time

The story was that Death was running around Metro City with a bomb called Laughter Sun. The bomb had codes that needed to be input into the bomb to disarm it. D.D., Rook, and Ingrid where the Code Holders, they had the codes that would deactivate the bomb. Their codes were Ogre, Fallen Angel and Isis.
So they scrapped a fighting game that would FINALLY have Mike Haggar and Poison in it... and gave us the steaming pile of dog shit that is Capcom Fighting Jam.
A lot of people who love fighting games had a Saturn. Saturn had the best arcade ports at that time, and was basically themed "the" fighting game system," what with it's best pad for fighters which was the only game system with a default 6 button pad.

the game by no means look perfect at all. almost as good as Bloody Roar 4 (and that's an insult) but that doesn't mean it had to be canceled. best believe I'd still be playing this game now if it were released, I collect as many fighting games as possible. hell I still play SFEX2 from time to time

Honestly, that gameplay looked like ass. Of course I'm comparing it to today's fighters, but w/e.
I'm not saying that I'm glad they threw together Fighting Jam, but I think this would've been pretty bad itself. Though the roster seems cool.

The story was that Death was running around Metro City with a bomb called Laughter Sun. The bomb had codes that needed to be input into the bomb to disarm it. D.D., Rook, and Ingrid where the Code Holders, they had the codes that would deactivate the bomb. Their codes were Ogre, Fallen Angel and Isis.

A lot of people who love fighting games had a Saturn. Saturn had the best arcade ports at that time, and was basically themed "the" fighting game system," what with it's best pad for fighters which was the only game system with a default 6 button pad.

Capcom was responsible for canceling it, but they were right for canceling it, they noticed the game wouldn't please almost anyone so they stoped working on it.
