Ok what you're doing is called countering or "punishing". It's called playing smart. In this game people are generally running auto pilot and throwing out things randomly, and hey who can blame them? Thoughtless attacks like someone throwing a rasengan when you're standing and blocking already (though people can get lucky) is just silly, so countering with a super instead of an attack string which leads to a long string of block mashing and substitutions is much smarter to do.

i faced the funniest rage quit ever, i was playing against a sasori spammer with deidara as his support. i used guy with itachi and pain as my support. that guy kept using grabs at me and i was like "ok, u made me do this" and used guys awakening. every time he get up from a blow i teleported behind and used either dynamic entry or grabs at him. he and I were 3 hits to getting ko and BOOM used guys grab and won the fight and he diconnected and i ROFLMAO. he got a taste of his own medicine xD

I just trolled some high ranks but letting them harass me, then DC-ing...my inbox was full of hate mail. Then, I faced a guy my rank....and all he did was stand there and mash block....I couldn't touch him, and he only attacked when I was open.

I DC'd him too, I think it was worth it. It got me DC upto 6, but it was fun to see the pathetic hate mail :)

It's cuz I press slowly which makes it hard to sub.

For example, Use Kabuto, Suigetsu, or Jugo. Those 3 are one of the slowest attackers that is good for close-range fights. x))

You get called garbage for winning with anyone, and if you use any range-based character you're automatically a spammer. For some reason, people just leave when they lose to Yamato though, I don't know why ._. Maybe its because they got beat by a tree frog :D

@Rip4D Yamato is easily at the bottom of low-tier, if not so, then unearthly close: if you lose to him, you have no dignity left and should quit the game entirely. Ino would be in the same boat if it weren't for her poison projectiles, how easy it is to fit in her flower bomb, and her stupidly easy throw that even a monkey can use successfully: all this makes her mid-tier.

My main strategy with him is to stall while calling in supports, having an attack support, and using my supports, the blast ball, his ninjutsu and his tilt to cause strike back, then using his UJ immediately, which is a slower version of Kakashi's essentially. But still, its embarrassing to be beaten by him nonetheless xD

@Rip4D Well, that's a nice combo, but I might be able to get you to half HP while your trying to stall: I tend to fill up my support gauge fast, considering I force my assist's through. I'm playing through a fourth time, and I'm unlocking all the characters via winning online. I never use any of the unlockable characters, only the characters you start with, until I get Hidan. Hidan is an insane assist, but as a character he isn't all the great, but you should face me as him. :)

Three things:

1. Neither of you spammed: he used his ult twice, you used yours 3 times. The only thing either of you spammed was support, and that is expected.

2. I'm trying to figure out how both of you got to that rank...neither of you played extremely well. your opponent timed his assist's terribly and didn't help them be successful, and you weren't nearly as aggro as you should have been: it should have been game at 70-65 seconds since you were using Minato.

@ForsakenMemories45 3. The guy was a bitch for disconnecting in a perfectly honest match. He's a pussy, enough said. That stated, you should have finished him before he had a chance to go AM, in which case by the time he attempted to DC, the game would have already registered the KO, and you would have still gotten the win and the BP. You were WAY to cautious for playing Minato, one of the OP characters in the game: you can go heavy aggro with out much worry with him.

Just faced a Hero who used Hokage Naruto: He went 6-tails, and expected to win, and only hit me with one Chakra Gun blast. He DC'd: He had 20-35% health, was in power down state, I had 65% or more, and I had just tagged him with my Grapple, Choji Knockback, Shika UJ.

I've never felt so satisfied in a while, despite me not getting the BP.

This game cannot be played legit in ranked. That's a fact. Spamming (same move all the time) is a VERY weak tactic. Gay play which is jumpguarding is by far worse. Believe me, I've experienced all kinds of fighters.

It doesn't matter if you spam or not, it's all about if you have fun with it. If you don't have fun with a game, don't play it. That's all there is to it.

What you did was counter attack. I would define spamming as something along the lines of doing the same tactic over and over no matter what the opponent does. you did a specific move for a specific attack. That is called punishing.
