  • This is a great version of Peter's "Alarm" performed by the greatest band in the world, the Chicago Tentet !!!!

  • Just like it supposed to be :)

Big Cheers from Belgrade! Ol' Brötz was here a couple of weeks ago....

  • amazing :O

  • nise, terrible...

  • KILLER!!!

  • Excellent post. Many thanks for this. I am really happy to see more of this band. These guys really stir it up here. Its funny to think that so-called "jazz" fans would not catch up to this, but its all in what you want to hear , i guess. Hard to believe that this band has been going for ten years already.

  • idiot

  • So get ill, nobody cares...

  • go fuck yourself and die

  • You have a big problem with yourself!!

  • honestly, do you expect anyone without some sort of musical background to "get" this?

  • Thanks for the high energy post here. I wonder what would happen if they walked into a Chicago club like the Velvet Lounge or the New Apartment Lounge where Fred Anderson or Von Freeman jams on Monk tunes or Cherokee.

  • that is something i would like to see, hahahaha.

  • great group.

  • Superb amazing musicianship but where is the release from the tension? Listen to Love Supreme by Coltran or Branford Marsallis for an example of how to present free form in my opinion - finding a grove occasionally will make this form of music breath and come to life - but it is hard for me to judge since this is not what I normally listen to or could I - so much pent up tension - from an "outside" source, no pun intended

  • pharoah sanders' album karma is also a great example of this - however, these musicians probably couldn't care less about "the listener!"

  • branford marsalis? dude, no.

  • a love supreme came out at a transtional period for coltrane. Once he hit ascension there was not much harmonic resolution. THat was still early in the scope of free jazz. Once albert ayler came out and cecil taylor started playing free much of the hippest jazz was totaly atonal. Especially if you consider the free improvisation movement oversees

  • dude you watched 5 minutes of music. Have you ever seen a full chicago tentet concert even? besides. there are people who just like to play rough and without boundaries, the energy on these guys is fucking incredible, I for one love this shit! Saw them live and it was one of the best free jazz concerts I have ever seen.

  • They had a groove at the beginning and then went out, this video does not show the end of the song anyway, so maybe they did bring it back in somewhat at the end.

  • excelent thank's chazuke i need more please?

  • Thanks Chazuke...awesome stuff. Wish I was there to see these crazy cats live...LOVE IT
