cashwise - I would like to try this by using a tube of silicone but it is too thick - is there any way I can make silicone more watery so that I can spread it around??
I am going to make a DinosaurCostume this Halloween and i have a way to make the legs have thier heel a lot higher and i have all the pipes and blueprints!!
We distribute our ICE Dupix self adhesive 360 deg viewing rear projection film for this application straight onto glass windowsm polycarbobate and acrylic. Available 1.6m wide up to whatever length in meter requried. Visit ICEAV[dot[co][dot]nz. Bond is forever abd optically perfect from either side.
Wow, that's strange, would you be so gentle to describe me better the issue with the website so I can try to fix it? Please email me, you'll find the address in the about page, thank you!
the problem comes from the use of a rear projection film on the acrylic because they do not couple well, so the rubber is used to improve the coupling of those materials
I can suggest you to take a look at the compliant surface section of the NUI Group forum, probably you'll find someone near you that already solved this issue!
Couldn't you just sandwich the silicone between 2 sheets of plexiglass??

can anyone let me know why exactly you apply that layer?
suckersweeper 2 years ago
You need too apply the silicone rubber to reflect the IR light.
CeekayProductions1 2 years ago
The layer is needed if you use a projection screen. Otherwise the blobs won't be detected.

Yes you can but surface & sides must be clean n clear. You can use Acrylic Sheet. That is best for this project n also recommend.

I still don't understand the idea of applying a rubber surface, as aren't you supposed to apply a sketch/tracing paper on top of the plexiglass?
