Who say Obama doesn't have experience? President of the Harvard Law Review, a ommunity organizer,a civil rights attorney, professor of constitutional law for over ten years at a elite university, 8 years being a state senator for Illinois, U.S. Senator, and created the greatest organizing campaign in presidential history!

America: what a country! Only here could an African-American with no discernible accomplishments and the thinnest credentials since Warren G. Harding stand on the verge of becoming the President of the United States of America, defender of freedom, and leader of the Free World. Think. Think about it. Think about it long and hard. this country was built on the basis that a decision cannot be reached swiftly. An idea must go thru many minds of approval to become final. If u are voting for Obama b/c of his far-fetched promises, please remember:ANY canidate elected has learned from the previous president's mistakes. This country doesn't need shock therapy. can be damaging. Besides;even Obama's economic solutions will involve more taxing for everyone. Experience is evrything for this position! Dont let TV info go unchecked
Fivethirtyeight briefly looked into experience and Presidential approval ratings and found a correlation illustrating their inverse relationship. This might be because the greater the experience, the more stubborn the candidate is, though this would have to be studied further.
what exactly is Barack Obama about like he has not said a single one of his strategies like he says well i believe this and this and this and its like he just says stuff to make people happy he never tells us his plan
america is not ready for a black president, the country is in too poor of condition to try to experiment with change, whether people like it or not there is racism in america, and now is not the time.
This man is a snake charmer, he will say anything to be elected. And where is all this money coming from, we need to audit him. He says he got it from Internet donations, sure!! I don't believe that for a minute, he has benefactors that we have to identify. Let us not be fooled. None of his proposed plans are workable, he is just promising anything to get supporters.
For those too young to remember and too stupid to study history: Jimmy Carter presided over 15 percent unemployment, 24 percent mortgage interest rates, gas lines, gas RATIONING, runaway inflation, not to mention terrorist's attacking American citizens with IMPUNITY (The Iran Hostage Crisis).
All those people in that room are a key part of mankinds attempt at making this world a better place....congrats to all of you. It is a very hard accomplishment...
This nation doesnt need to be fixed or changed. People have to be more responsible for themselves. And since this page is censored for supporters only( reminds me of the media these days), this will never be seen.
He cares about people Humm. I want to hear what is thoughts are on the issues. He wants us to pull out of the middle east. What happens when the middle east comes here then? Health care, I really want to see him out line it.. He talks about it, change but never gets down to the nuts and bolts.. Anyone can say the easy thing and "tell them what they want to hear". But a real leader leads.. And always many will complain but in the end its the leader who is leading..
I am so proud to have volunteered for Obama & donated to his campaign. He is so real, and brutally honest in this video. A typical "politician" wouldn't say stuff like this. Bravo! Let's go - Obama 08 & 12
Listen on His views,He supports gay marrige, close ties 2 th nation of islam which believes th white man was created by a human devil. They also deny Christ.Look @ his fruits & his surroundings not his words.Birds of a feather flock together.Wherefor by ther fruits ye shal know them
Obama is only good candidate to fix this nation. Even though, he does have his negatives, his positives outweighs the negativity around him. However he needs GREAT twinkling his "Universal Health Care" and "War in Iraq." Also, there are ppl in this nation that need that little push to success the America Dream, but it's the ppl to achieve this goal. And not to abuse it. Remember JFK speech now. From ppl from the ghetto to the high class society, Obama's help can be taken advantage of
The midwest is under 32 feet of flood water and it is still rising. Where is Bush? In France. Where is McCain? In bed sleeping. Where is Obama? Filling sandbags on the banks of the Mississippi.
chancew44, if you had a reason to fight in Iraq, then for sure victory would be necessary to achieve your aims....but in this case where you have no reason to continue fighting and all the people that matter in this war are all on the same side, what are you fighting for? Nothing! Who will you be winning your fight against? No one that matters to achieving the goals(if there's 1) of this war. The Iraqi's can stop the war(by not becoming insurgents), support 'em and let 'em get on with it!
Google United Arab Emirates Dubai city could this be where all the money in the world is now?
wander why there has been no new developments in New York? ground breaking for new buildings major plans the only thing left in America free Enterprise is yard sales,
You know the only reason everyone is in an uproar about an intelligent black man running for office is the fact that OBAMA is contesting the colonialistic ideologies that have prevailed from the begining in this country. The problems with these views are that they are very outdated and rooted deeply in racism. We live in a new America now. Everything is on a more global scale thats why the world hates president BUSH and McCain because their ideals are outdated. All of us have to evolve. or else!
He is smart but he's simply a politician with empty promises. He uses the word CHANGE and the sheep come running. I have to agree with those that said, if he were white he wouldn't have gotten this far.
Obama is only good candidate to fix this nation. Even though, he does have his negatives, his positives outweighs the negativity around him. it will be huge miracle if black person become US president so let is see what is gonna happen next obama his father is from kenya like he said . john McCain he is same like bush he will never do something different may be another 9/11 happen if they elect to be a president
it is amazing how many racist people can make negative comments on Obama who is a phenomenom for inspiring people in a time that resembles a very dark chapter in American history
I feel Obama is giving hope for us all, not only for America, but the world. It's nice to see a real human, and not a politician looking for power and money.
Obama is a total con man. He draws people in with simplistic slogans that appeal emotionally. There is virtually nothing behind the surface.
Go to Obamas website and look at his plan for taxes. It is a total joke and nothing but a tiny repeat of a handful to BS we have all heard 100 times before.
Obama is a chronic liar and you democrats are all being sucked in by him.
Do some homework for once, go to his website and look at his tax plan it is non existant.
if you think Sen. Obama wants to stop war and bring peace you are wrong. Sen. Obama wants to pull troops out of Iraq and start the war in Afganistan. This war could take much longer than on in Iraq(the war we are in fact winning) now why would you want our country to retreat in defeat.
which war America is wining ? start war with afganistan? when the war with the taliban in Afganistan started before the iraq war. Get your facts straight before you type the same bull shit mc shame & bush-ass say.
If you live in this country, you should have the decency to support its soldiers. What have you done to make this world better? What have you done to make this country stronger? I'm not saying war is how these two questions are answered. Far from it. But your sentiment is so common these days. The idea that citizens of this nation deserve to take whatever they please but not give anything back. And when they have to give they complain. Is this you? I hope not.
I know that all of you are afraid. It is sometihng new. to have someone that is not our generic american candidate having so much a sway over people. but the truth is i think that we can expect something great out of him, and at the very least we can expect something good natured and new, in either case that is better then what we have gotten out of anyone that has done the job in the last 30 years. by the way, don't mention dem spending, repub have spent billions on murder in iraq.
You know, I'm a solid McCain supporter but I really enjoyed what you had to say...until the last sentence. How about this: democratic aversion to int'l trade policy that leads to billions in lost business in pharma and eventually reduces cheap drugs for third world nation resulting in countless deaths in impoverished economies. Stick to what you know.
I admit until now I knew nothing of it.... Haven't had much interest in Nader, save for the fact that George Bush should be grateful to at least one person(him) in America for carrying him over the finishing line in 2000. He doesn't owe the judges that stopped the FL recount anything... They didn't judge in his favour on their own free will I suspect. Nader ran because he wanted to do exactly that personally, I hope.
i think barack should win. he shows that anyone can do anything once they put their mind to it no matter what race, colour, nationality or creed you are because black people are not usually counted to be such high figures like president and i feel that the barack is the beginning of many different things to come.
I also things Hilary Clinton is a good role model to women to persue careers in politics and not to feel we are being dominated by men and that anyone can make a change if they want to
Man I have never believed any president nor any politician. With both candidates all we get is talk just like every election.McCain doesn't have a strategy for staying at war and Obama doesn't have one for pulling out while protecting our country. Hell with the rest of the hollow political promises. What I do believe in that is always certain is that Democrats raise taxes and I am sick of helping the do nothings of the world. But, I know the reality is we have no control. Its a masquerade.
Being inspiring after no sleep and constant stress for months must be a bitch. It's in these moments that you see the true value of a man because all the filters are down.
How dare anyone talk about Obama. He's all about hope and so am I. Where there is hope there is future and the future is about change. And that is what Obama is gonna do.He is gonna change this country for the future so that there will be hope. What the world needs now is hope sweet hope. That's the only thing that there's just too little of. Just give hope a chance, please! For the children of the world. We are the world, we are the children.
Im from Hawaii where obama grow up.The state is a Democratic State and prob one of the most screwed up states in the US full of Rich get richer poor get poorer no middle class type of State. If Obama gets in I just hope he isnt like the politicians in Hawaii who when I was in High school 2001 let a teacher strike go on for 1 whole month and even to this day have an idea that closing High Schools is a good way to save money that they have wasted over the years!!!!!Obama dont be like the Dems here
"Hey, I'm sorry I haven't said more about Palestine right now, but we are in a tough primary race. I'm hoping when things calm down I can be more up front."....
What was he reffering to? He referred to a journalist activist he met and including columns the hour contributing to the The Chicago Tribune critical of Israeli and US policy, "Keep up the good work!"
If terrible crimes were committed by the Bush Administration, then those individuals must face the consequences regardless of it being election season. People have suffered and died while great fortunes have been made. We must never allow our leaders to tell us "Well, he's going to be out of office soon so why bother investigating or prosecuting" We have a moral obligation to turn every rock and shine the light of justice on those crimes. The wheels of justice turn slowly, but they do turn.
I would like to ask Barack, since he's a constitutional lawyer and I know nothing... Now that terrorists have habeas rights like many wanted, where will you put them for two years in DC and since judge spots haven't been filled (do you have to ask why), who will hear them? Will you or will you not, build extra prisons and require eye scans? We still have no FISA.
If innocent will they be deported, if found guilty are we legal in holding them outside of their country?
I can hear the genuineness and determination as well as humors through his voice and appearance despite the extreme mental & physical fatigue. Go Obamas!!
I can't believe so many people have backed Obama. He loves to spout off about "CHANGE" tell me ONE political change he has EVER even attempted to change. He is nothing short of a salesman.
Best person for the job, by far! Reaches across all people, not exclusive embraces everyone. Best of all, keeps people focused on the positives of his campaign, not the negativity of the other guy. I wish all candidates could not lower themselves like some do.
He doesn't reach across me with his racist, anti-american sentiment. Couple this with his inexperience and just say no to Obama. Unfortunately a large percentage of his supporters are voting for him based soley on skin color. That's too bad.
Yeah, look at all the racist, anti-american sentiment in this room... ummm, no. How is your comment even remotely related to this video of Obama candidly speaking to his staff?
Your narrow minded perception of his support is your own failing. Your failure to read about the issues and his platform while trying to sway others who have not yet read of his message, is absolutely appalling. I suggest you make an argument based on his platform, not on your own neo-con fear mongering.
Awesome. The people who want change in this room want nothing more than a handout. Thats all the dems want to give to stay elected and thats all that the people want who vote for marxist like this.
Well you do toe his opponent's lines pretty well, though I do share your concern with his experience. But what I heard in this video made me feel better.. one of his main points was that that experience is collective, rather than stem from just one individual like himself. This belief I personally agree with and acknowledge.
As for the race and patriotic stuff, I hope you have faith enough in our political system to give Mr. Obama some benefit of the doubt! We may have no choice, you know.
One can support the troops without supporting the war, especially for reasons as pointless as those we were given. Haven't you heard that despair is causing many American soldiers to disfigure or maim themselves so they can opt out of this crazy war?
You toe his opponent's lines pretty well, but I do share your concern with Obama's experience.
Actually what I heard in this video made me feel much better. Referring to his campaigners, Obama suggests that the power of experience is collective, rather than relying solely on an individual (like himself). I find truth and genuine insight in that statement.
As for your other concerns, I hope you can find enough faith in our political system. You may have no choice come November!
The US keeps surprising me. Just when I thought there ain't nothing decent coming anymore, Barack Obama "happens".
Still if becoming president he has to stick to imperial US politics. Though there'll be many improvements the 'our hands on their resources' strategy won't change (military and economically). If led by a person as Obama the disappointment will be ever greater compared to ego-maniacs as Bush/Cheney.
Wtf do you know about Obama? Give me a rundown on his policy positions (besides the Iraq war). You don't know a goddamn thing about him. You like him because he's black and "different". Stand by for the disappointment when this 47 yr old novice (no national experience at all...let alone any international experience) fucks everything up even worse than it is now.
He doesn't want to cut "federal tax" on fuel/gas for "this summer"..... there's a difference... that means all those proposing summer gas tax cuts will leave state taxes in place, and after summer the gas tax is re-installed..... what percentage of gas tax is the federal tax? Probably small. That is why it wouldn't make much of a difference to individual consumers and their families. If they can work out a way to give small businesses a tax break, then that would be more significant.
Higher taxes, depleted military, poorer people, more illegal immigrants, demise of fair capitalism and jobs being shipped abroad have all happened under George's watch.
This man is a leader. Our country needs an intelligent & compassionate speaker to lay out the pros & cons of each decision, contrary to our current embarassment embodied by Dubya. If we can be led to think about what we're doing, we can once again be considered a beacon in a world we hope may be free of fear, famine, & hopelessness.
I really do believe Obama will be our next PRESIDENT. He is the only candidate to accomplish what he did. I agree CHANGE and HOPE is making a comeback, and OBAMA will be leading the way.
Very good..He is sooo right by stating it is them that are helping him and the country. His team consists of many kids fresh outta highschool and college, it is them that will change this country and choose the right candidate no matter who it is. But i hope it's Obama of course :) Dont be afraid of change for the better, only be afraid that you wont change for the better...God Bless him and to all who work for him. We all deserve it and him and his message.
okay peolple!........were 5 months away from the big day!!!.......we have yet to finish this historic year..........let's make history........VIVA OBAMA!!!
I smell the change in the air and it starts with Mr. Obama. I feel he makes it a personal goal of his to be a rolemodel to all African-Americans and all Americans alike. What's even better than that, is just to think how far this country has come since the civil rights days. I'm white, 27yrs male american and I will stand in the long line next to Mr Obama to the road to the whitehouse. Mr Obama and all his supports will not stand down until Bush is out, and McCain has failed.
Obama is only good candidate to fix this nation. Even though, he does have his negatives, his positives outweighs the negativity around him. However he needs GREAT twinking his "Universital Health Care" and "War in Iraq." Also, there are ppl in this nation that need that little push to success the America Dream, but it's the ppl to achieve this goal. And not to abuse it. Remember JFK speech now.
From ppl from the ghetto to the high class society, Obama's help can be takan advantage of.
trust me desire4liberation i truely believe in democracy however despite what you may have heard or what they say look at the way america works its never been a democracy its a republic i wish it wasnt but it is unfortunatly and this meens electoral colledge
The United States is a democratic republic. Does that shock you? Would it shock you even more if I told you that the Democratic Party was originally called the Republican Party?
If you vote in a Democratic nominee as a President, it doesn't change the fundamentals of the system in which you live under. All that seperates Democrats and Republicans is ideals.
Correction!!! We live in a Democratic-Republic...and which way it tilts tends to depend on whether we are led by a Democrat or a Republican...hence the names...sheesh....if your going to play semantics for the love of peat down lose...worse game ever to lose at....
Yes, this would be such a PRODUCTIVE thing to do with Bush and Cheney only having six months left on their term. Yes, we should "GET" Bush and Cheney! That will solve all of America's problems! Seriously, I take this movement as threat to national security. If Obama defeats Mccain and the Dems retain control of congress in November so be it, but this movement is nothing more than a coup. And, should be treated as such.. Kucinich needs to be tried a traitor! He is a security threat!
those who would sacrifice a little freedom for more security deserve neither. We should always question our government simply because it is ours. We MUST impeach those who manipulated and lied to us and engaged in an unjust war against a sovereign nation.
.....Wow....you just called democratic proceedings a coup...when neo-conservatism finishes its march down its inevitable path towards fascism, I suppose that the kind of idiocy it gives birth to...Impeachment is warranted, but not necessary, people like you and your furor tend to get whats coming to them in the end, if only that little hint of guilt right before the curtain comes down. Bless you sir, and I suppose I'll see you at the barricades...
You have inspired millions of Americans to be involved this election. Not only are millions of Americans are participating for the first time in an election, they are registering to vote for the first time.

Fivethirtyeight briefly looked into experience and Presidential approval ratings and found a correlation illustrating their inverse relationship. This might be because the greater the experience, the more stubborn the candidate is, though this would have to be studied further.

And always many will complain but in the end its the leader who is leading..

chancew44, if you had a reason to fight in Iraq, then for sure victory would be necessary to achieve your aims....but in this case where you have no reason to continue fighting and all the people that matter in this war are all on the same side, what are you fighting for? Nothing! Who will you be winning your fight against? No one that matters to achieving the goals(if there's 1) of this war. The Iraqi's can stop the war(by not becoming insurgents), support 'em and let 'em get on with it!

All of us have to evolve. or else!

Your narrow minded perception of his support is your own failing. mnightwarrior 3 years ago
We may have no choice, you know.
forkburn01 3 years ago
wow...who's the racist?
rcpowell6 3 years ago
One can support the troops without supporting the war, especially for reasons as pointless as those we were given. Haven't you heard that despair is causing many American soldiers to disfigure or maim themselves so they can opt out of this crazy war?
elimurf9 3 years ago

KapitanHaddock 3 years ago
Wtf do you know about Obama? Give me a rundown on his policy positions (besides the Iraq war). You don't know a goddamn thing about him. You like him because he's black and "different". Stand by for the disappointment when this 47 yr old novice (no national experience at all...let alone any international experience) fucks everything up even worse than it is now.
JohnR22926 3 years ago
political positions:
reducing taxes for lower incomes, rising taxes for the rich, in opposite to McCain
talk to enemies, reconciliation, instead of the black and white thinking of McCain/Bush
focus on education (very important pre-schooling)
talking about global warming AND doesn´t wanna reduce taxes on gas, in opposite to McCain.
reducing military budget instead of increasing these useless waste of money like McCain wants to do it.
Any more questions?
schwirzl 3 years ago
He doesn't want to cut "federal tax" on fuel/gas for "this summer"..... there's a difference... that means all those proposing summer gas tax cuts will leave state taxes in place, and after summer the gas tax is re-installed..... what percentage of gas tax is the federal tax? Probably small. That is why it wouldn't make much of a difference to individual consumers and their families. If they can work out a way to give small businesses a tax break, then that would be more significant.
