  • We are not Native Americans, for our people were here before this land was called America. In the same way that white Americans call themselves Americans, yet say "I am Irish, I am Italian or Polish. We TOO go by our tribal names: Lakota, Oglala, Apache, Navajo, etc.

If you wish to get caught up in this age of ridiculous political correctness, that's totally up to you. I am no relation to Americus Vespuci, the man "big brother" got the name America from!

  • HELLOW ANY ONE

  • i love robert do u

  • 3:44 This woman is so beautiful. To me anyway.

  • Natives often looted the weapons, armor, and firearms of fallen conquistadors, explorers, etc.

  • Awesome sounds! Awesome Views! Awesome video from a master! I just dont understand the sword? Thumbs up!

  • Native americans are the most loved in my eyes. They have lost so much! I would love to go back in time and fix the wrongs.... But I know it would change history itself but they need it soo bad. And I am honered to call myself part of the navtives even though I'm only 1/3rd

  • The so-called "liberated" woman, whose comment is beneath me (in MANY ways), knows NOTHING of what she speaks.

The indeginous people of this great land, have had swords, since the time of the Conquistadors.

I have a question for her. What is a "native american"?????

  • @0819Marlene Not 'liberated" woman - but I will answer your question. Anyone born in this land is a Native American, a name the federal government gave us. Just like whites called us Indian. We have "owned" Indian, we should not own NA (not applicable -does not apply) We are the first, we deserve to have the Amer. first. I like AmerIndian. But that's just me. It kinda galls to say Native American, another way to take away what makes us who we are. Indigenous is better than NA. '@v@'

  • @MsAKSfan P.S. And I will pray for you my young confused "friend" . That as time goes on, you will NO LONGER allow the "federal government" to tell you what you are.

For the names we were originally given were endowed upon us by our CREATOR!!!

  • @0819Marlene Please first let me say that I wish to show no offense. And that was not my intent with the comment.

I think perhaps you confused my words. I was saying that I do NOT let the Am. Gov. name me. I choose to call myself AmerIndian. And I know who I am in my heart and that is all that really matters. I cringe every time I hear Native Am. I don't need anyone to tell me who I am. The Creator named us in the beginning and will call our names in the end times. aho

  • @MsAKSfan My young friend you have not offended me in any way. I just did not want YOU to offend yourself. Be well. aho

  • @0819Marlene Thank you... I'm not a very young woman... (I have grown children and grandbabies.) LOL I have to admit it. But I always respect the opinions of others. And I respected that you cared enough to answer my rambling comment. I can see that it was not very clear. May you always walk in beauty... Tricia '@v@'

  • I have to echo a previous comment...when did natives Americans use swords? And what, exactly, was the point of this performance. This gentleman's talent seems mediocre at best.

  • @MsJen58

Your comment makes me wonder what is wrong with you. I would like to know exactly what you consider higher quality in drama, dance and music than the work of Robert Mirabal...

Maybe it is just a question of taste in music styles?

  • when did indians have swords

  • Only thing i can say is this.....No good has come form war, lie's, hatred, racism, and ignorence. You can take your book of word's...and do what you will it. It doe's not take a great deal knowledge too know what is right or what is wrong. What Robert is showing in his music is that we need to wake the heck up. The creator gives? And he can take. We all need to rethink what our purpose in life is.

  • @MrRedbear1961

do you know what happened to the Indians?

They have gone through so much.

Robert is sharing what they have had to do,

    I should know, I'm Indian

  • Lies will get you killed. If he had told the truth he would lived.

  • just my opinon...we all have a warrior in us, men and women: when the time comes to face the enemy be it real or from the spirit world, be ready......

  • I like this but why do so many live on handouts? Can't feed the family. I don't get it.

  • @beerrunner81

So many ask these same questions. I can not believe that they have really tried to know the answers. Please learn...and you will not have to ask.

  • @Witatsois Give a man a fish and you will feed him for a day. But teach a man to fish and you will feed him for a lifetime. No more handouts, it's time to go to work. That's the answer.

In the Bible it says, and I quote: If you don't work you don't eat.

This is so true, even today.

  • @beerrunner81

You apparently have no real interest in knowing the answers to your

questions. If you did, you would learn the truth instead of just

saying "I don't get it." A little platitude of my own; "Knowledge is

    power, ignorance is bliss."

You must live in a very blissful world.

  • @beerrunner81 I do not see the need to go to your Christian bible to know that

people must work to eat. This is something my people have done for

thousands of years...long before the Europeans came and committed

genocide against them so they could steal everything they could get

their hands on, including our children and culture.

Spouting biblical platitudes does nothing to enable you to learn what

has been and still is really going on with indigenous peoples and why

    so many remain in poverty.

  • @Witatsois well said, well said 100%

  • I've felt very connected to The Native American all my life, I grew up being told I was part Cherokee. It is such a blessing to be connected (through these vids) with those I've always wished I had personal relationships with. I get sad like I miss my real family and so so long to be with you again!

  • Incredible...gorgeous, and haunting....

  • Robert Mirabal's music speaks to the heartbeat of his cultural heritage and also transcends to the hearts of us all. I recommend his music to all and what a fantastic idea -- if he could be brought to travel to high schools and colleges -- what a message he could spread about the love of all people for each other --
