From what I remember, if the SNES ever followed the NES, it really depends on (the publisher?) in terms of whether they decide to give you the dust cover or not. I've noticed:

First party games always tend to have dust covers

Older games always tend to have them

Newer games seemed to stop having them.

That's my observation at least.

@DJGMuzak You bet your luck I did, Garry! Yeah, Dov had about twenty or so of these bad boys, man! It's just so tragic that the common 80s gamer didn't dare to touch this game with a 13 foot machete, they really missed out! I had to step up for the uncommon gaming man!
