I have a cage almost like that. For my parakeet, Petri (atleast for now), I just got him/her (too young), yesterday and it it will step up with one claw, and will let me rub it :)..
actually the new name is Clyde, Official name lol.
Also, now its the first and Clyde will already perch on my finger and stuff, and come out of his cage... Although me and my friend clipped his wings today to help training, and it helps training 110%. He can fly but more like a long jump, and hover, but not fly around the house :)

w0w. from one cage to another. one of my birds e4scapes from there, too. but he grew out of it i guess. he likes to annoy my other bird more. lol
