god i take the NHS for granted sometimes fuck... i gotta say last week, i got this kindve heat rash that itches on my arm so i called up the surgery that is a few hundred yards away from my house and got an appointment later that day, nice doctor who i knew gave me a prescription for a cream, cycled another few hundred yards to a near pharmacy and gave in the prescription, 10 mins later i had it and was home inside 45mins. i never paid a penny, cant you americans focus on that kind of thing??
I know this is old, but @ ThatDyslexicGuy, as a mom of a son with Aspergers, you would get health insurance. That's not an issue. The issue is getting the insurance companies to pay for therapies, etc. that Aspies need. By the way, the schools are the same. You don't get care for the Asperger title, but rather for the "symptoms" that are under the Asperger umbrella. As you probably know, no two Aspies have the same "symptoms" in a row. So if my son has anxiety or OCD, he can get treated...
.. for those symptoms, & he can get accommodations at school. If he has ADHD, that can get treated. You can imagine how much work it is to do all this. Because Aspergers is "on the autism spectrum", the political issues & using insurance is done under the title of Autism, not Aspergers, although, in my opinion, the two are very different. Are Aspies autistic? That is the argument. I say they can have some of the same traits, but not be autistic. I have some traits of a computer, but am human.
My film class is watching Sicko right now, and when this scene came on I felt like an asshole, lol
The Star Wars list, from when it started to when it finished, made me almost fall out of my chair laughing....me and 5-6 other people, n then it got all dramatic and i felt like such a dick for that
Hey, I didnt say i'm numb to the downfalls of America's Health insurance agencies. I've discussed the topic until I've wanted to shoot myself, and I've very great full for Moore's film, because the way he presents his information (like how i said above ^) gets through to average Americans like myself
I have Asperger Syndrome too and was shocked when I saw this video, especially as the US is one of the countries I wanted to live in one day.. I think Nixon has a lot to answer for, thanks to him it's in the privatised mess it is today...
Only in America can you profit from pain.

Yeah, american healthcare agencies treat healthcare like any other business, which is absolutely disgusting
I personally commend Becky Malke for voicing her views on this issue for Michael Moores cameras
She's proved that, unlike some in the american healthcare industry, She has a heart
