Donkey Kong Country 2 Weird monkey sounds in Toxic Tower

Oh mannnnn... This video brought me back to being a like six. My parents knew wat was up in the nineties and bought me a SNES and the first two donkey kongs.

I played the crap outta DKC2. Sixteen years later and I still love it.

My game experienced sound glitches like that a couple of times as well. I was playing Mudhole Marsh and I kept hearing the sound of a barrel rolling and the rhythm of the level got kind of screwed up. Lengthy rifts in the song got shorter and filtered out. I thought the song actually sounded cooler that way. I just wish I knew what causes these sound glitches. Maybe it is just a random bug that occurs. The barrel noise also occured in K. Rool Duel.

@007rocksalotmann I know! It freaks you out when the toxic water catches up to you it's like "Oh my god - I'm gonna die!". At that point, you start freaking out and button mashing, which doesn't help you at all. You button mash and scream for about five minutes even though you had already died four minutes and fifty seconds ago.

Something similar happened to me in that stage.

Cannot remember how, but I immediately fell to the toxic pool after transforming, and then you can hear some grunts, like when you hit Kleever.

This game is extremely glitchy. On at least 3 occasions, the sound effects have gone completely haywire on me in various levels and I had to reset the game for them to go back to normal. Also, if you jump into the toxic water in that level at the beginning of the stage as the kongs, the sound effects get pretty buggy as well.

Kleever's growl is heard whenever I jump in the toxic water as the Kongs, but one time a weird honking sound played when I did that, and I must have done it at a higher location in Toxic Tower as the Kongs (got higher in the level as the Kongs with the "throw your buddy up" move) to make that weird honking sound play. It was kinda freaky. 0_0
