The problem with luxury sedans is that they're crammed with irritating, non-intuitive computer systems. If I bought this car, I wouldn't want to dick around with all the systems. I think simplicity should be the standard from now on with just a few switches for the radio, navi, and A/C and maybe a sport and normal mode switch.

Not just a bigger grill, you get a large heavy car that still perfroms. The size and weight alone make it wonderful. Anything safer, you'd need an F350, but you wouldn't have the ride... or stock horsepower.

I'll probably get one of these instead of a phantom, just because I like how it's shorter (easier to park), and I like how the grill is shaped. Has a lot more curb appeal.

@unrealrs My dad has the 7 series BM and I will be purchasing the RR ghost late 2010. I wont be purchasing it in the states, but in the UAE. I think that the two cars are similar, but very different. Its like comparing a Ferrari and a Maserati, both are designed by Pininfiorna, yet they are different. In addition, I would be purchasing the RR and not a Merc or BM because my business requires me to show solidarity and show that I am the best at what I do.

The Bentley Flying Spur is more of a sports tourer than the Ghost. The Bentley is a driver's car, not a car people are chauffeured in. The Ghost is BMW, so it can be a driver's car, but its focus is on absolute luxury and comfort. If I would have a car to drive and one to be driven in, I would have both. The Bentley for when I would drive myself, and the Ghost when I would want to be chauffeured around the countryside and city in.

That's a hard decision. But IF you had a lot of money, take both! Really, they don't compare that much, and most rich people have a Rolls or Bentley or Jag to be chauffeured in, a G-wagen or Range Rover to take the horses in or to haul stuff, and a Ferrari or a super car as the sports car to drive. If I had a lot of money, I would have a Range Rover, a Bentley Flying Spur, a Rolls Phantom, a BMW 335i or Lexus IS350c convert, and either a 612 or a 458 Italia. BTW, how much will the Italia be?

Most rich people drive themselves, lol. Unless they are going to a event. The ghost is $280-300, the 458 Italia i think will be $220 base, but becomes expensive with all of the additives and extras. But my question was, which one would you pick for driving everyday if you lived in Dubai or Abu Dhabi? I personally like suv's and would take a hummer over a range any day, and I did. lol. Still, if I had to choose between the 2 i would pick the ferrari. Its nice to weave in and out of traffic.

I like the Italia but the F430's exhaust and engine note is killer. I really like the California, exhaust sounds like a Maserati Gran Turismo S mixed with an F430. I have seen a California go by when I was walking. I live a couple of blocks from a Ferrari/Maserati dealership. But when it comes to a big suburban desert city, like Vegas or Abu Dhabi or Dhubai I would take something big quiet and comfortable, so I would have the Ghost. Mid engined cars seem to catch fire too easily in hot cities.

For the guy who was asking why it's called the ghost, it's named after RR Silver Ghost which was produced from 1906-1926. Just as the current Phantom is named after the original, produced in the mid 1920s. This car is more of a drivers rolls where the owner can either drive it or be driven. The Phantom on the other hand is much too pretentious to drive and is meant for the owner to be chauffeured. People with the means to buy these cars don't buy them by accident. they want to make a statement.

They are worked on by some of the most skilled employees in the world so the quality is impeccable.2) even though these beasts are heavy, that doesn't meant they aren't powerful. This particular rolls has 563bhp, the engine is also hand built.3) Rolls only settles for the best, to say the least, u wont find that leather in ur average Toyota..
