like alot of people, i enjoyed the bonnie/damon scenes in season 1&2. i believe that the writers of the show could feel the fan's growing anticipation of a possible bonnie/damon relationship, and they wanted to put a stop to it, hence the scene where damon says if it came down between bonnie and elena that he will always choose elena. to make it clear, the writers have denied us any scenes between bonnie/damon in season 3. i miss their eye f**king. it's a shame because it made for good tv.

i love the whole witchy bonnie and her appeal and all but i miss the innocent and confused bonnie sometimes...the one that shows her emotions as in this case not the one whom seem to be hiding ....behind a mask...like that of damon ...this bonnie and damon show each other emotions...while witchy bonnie and vampire damon seem to hide behind masks

I agree. They have great chemistry on the show but I was a fan of them in the books too. Stefan & Elena are the happy couple (4 now) but it's the traditional sweet relationship which is good in real life but doesn't hold my interest on a tv show. Elena & Damon will most likely have romantic moments which is predictable. Damon & Bonnie probably won't have intense moments on the show way down the line like season 4 or 5 or something lol.

Did you watch the final episode. Gosh how pathetic was the DE scenes. Disgusting. I had already a feeling they would ruin Elena, but they didn't destroy her that much, there is hope for her, and with hope I mean a petition that says: Don't ruin Elena Gilberts character.

Damon is so feisty and snappy when he's around Bonnie. And I love how Bonnie doesn't back down. Even in the latest episode when they were in his house and he was saying how he doesn't trust her and she wasn't even phased. The back and forth bickering reminds me of Eric and Sookie from True Blood. Of course we all knwo Eric is actually in love w/ Sookie while Damon is just annoyed by Bonnie. It WILL happen though!

In the books it doesn't quite get to Damon falling in love with Bonnie however, he deffinetly likes her more than a friend (in the book return night fall) He calls her "his little bird" and saves her on more than one occasion. I forgot why he saves her. But because she is in grave danger! he protects her quite a bit. No psychic connection. He is distracted by her name because he does like her but he fronts and tries not to show. although it is soo obvious. wait for the next book
