I loved this Video. I know the area well, we went there as kids 40 years ago and I now take my family there before the schools break up, we live overseas so our kids break up for the kids in the UK. I'd have to agree with you, Swanage is largely unchanged. Lovely area. Thanks for posting it m8
@Oberbaumbruecke What about the Elephant @ 3.44? there are loads of images in the rocks hereabouts,I normally only see them when reviewing the footage at home...
@stevenatleven Thanks,it's a brilliant little place, but parking is a nightmare,as is a lot of the South Coast, and Devon and Cornwall this time of year.Got a couple more videos from down here to come, including a day trip to Durdle door,Lulworth cove e.t.c.
The chinhook picking up and dropping that boat off was quite a treat. Likewise I was beasted from the drive to get to Swanage. Luckily I parked on the pier and launched without having the Street Police on me (£5 priviledge). Good little trip this on Frank, the way back to Kimmerage was a true epic!!!!!!!
@onlywhenpissed We'll definitely have to go again, even with all the Parking hassle, and the Nazi rules and regs. they won't stop us having fun will they? Love some of the places as well as the kayaking - Corfe Town and Castle for example, don't forget Boycey - MAAARRRR LEEEEN......
@GBPaddling Funny how those who write the rules and regs sure do whatever they want. They just close it all off to everyone else and enjoy the world like they own it!
@briansmobile1 Indeed,I just wish that all these knuckleheads rioting would have taken it all out on Parliament, the Banks and the bloody Nazi Councils instead of shitting on their own doorsteps. Why the Fuck should any of us have to pay to park ANYWHERE with all the Taxes we pay? Do you realise less than 25% of what is collected on Road Tax gets used on the roads. The roads are a total disgrace, and then you have to pay to park when you get there. They don't even allow Vans on the car parks!!!!!!!!
@GBPaddling I'm with you! Rioting where you live is idiotic. I say organize and take government back one seat at a time. And if the systems broken/stolen take it back. How many people wine about it vs. do something constructive? How many whack at the leafs of the tree of evil vs. axing the roots? I educate people everywhere I go everyday. When corporations and banks win by buying out your government leaders you publicize what's going on and get new leaders. The media is no help. Up to you.
@weirwolfarroo Got beyond Anvil Point, then Matt arrived, earlier than I predicted and phoned(unlike Me,He took the correct route) so I turned back. The problem with going along that stretch of coast,is that landing, would be very difficult,I think, and there was quite a chop round there.
Dorset! Dorset!!! Bloody he'll, just come back from hold in Devon! Could have met up for a paddle? Never mind. One day maybe? Great bid as always Frank, looking forward to seeing some more :-) regards jez w scot
@fatpigeonhgg set out from Swanage,at 6.30pm,and got back at 9.15pm,there was a Fun Fair on,and Rock bands playing, the whole place was buzzing - and I was knackered from the journey down ha ha.
@DarkLord0fHell I forgot to mention the Elephant has a rather oversized arse......He's got junk in the trunk, ha ha.
